would buy again
Took a minute to get here but worth the wait. As someone who's recently had weight loss surgery. I needed to change overall behaviors. But didn't want to stand in kitchen with measuring spoons & cups. This dinnerware allows me to just serve & enjoy the proportions of given food. Items have a good feel to them. And unless you knew what the designs were intended for you'd have no idea they were for food rationing. I've already had several compliments on the dishes. I bought 4 sets. I do wish they had more designs to choose from but these are lovely. Bone white china with grey & light sage/mint green design.

Nice dishes but...
Thes are nice dishes, but the delineated vegetable portion is small. For years we've been hearing that we should fill half our plates with vegetables. Oh, and I assumed that these dishes were a Scandinavian creation, but they are made in...you guessed it...China.

I read add wrong and it was just one set for the "about" $50. I was expecting a set. I sent them back.

Enough is Really Enough and This Helps You Stop Piling Food Onto the Plate
Struggle with your weight? Tempted to each just a bit more than you should and so you watch the pounds slowly increase? This dinner ware is perfect for me and anyone like me. The plates are smaller than the average dinnerware sold today (which according to experts has gotten bigger and bigger over the decades). The dinnerware patterns are actually shapes that show the right portion sizes for each food group—like grains, proteins, and veggies. While doing that, they are very pleasing to the eye. Another feature is the wide rim, which seems to frame the food to make it look like your plate is full. Your eye, your brain, and your stomach are satisfied you’re getting enough to eat.And the reality for me is that I really am full. After using these for a while I have begun to feel much too full if I over stuff my plate and my weight has started to go slowly down (and, at the same time I started walking a bit more every day.) I'm healthier and I think my doctor will be pleased at my next checkup. I learned that my doctor was not so pleased with my weight gain even though I had not gotten to the obese level --- he warned about creep and age slowing the metabolism. This china really helps me stay on goal.

Beautiful and useful dinnerware, but somewhat expensive for a full family set
This is a well thought out design, and the colors are lovely. The size of the dishes are reasonable, and I can see it being a great addition to a household that is trying to be conscious of their diet and portion sizes. If you have a household with unlimited financial resources, it would be a wonderful way to get everyone to eat more sensibly. BUT, at the current price, it will cost you two hundred dollars for a family of four to do it, at fifty dollars a place setting. That ONE thing is why this has to be a four star, not a five star review. The dishes are simply too expensive for what they are.I was offered the set at half price for an honest review, which this absolutely is.. but even at twenty-five dollars per place setting, I feel that is the maximum reasonable price for these dishes. I would never have paid the full retail price, and as much as I will enjoy this one setting, I still won't after seeing the set in person.
