Gamma2Gamma Seal Lid for Utility Buckets - Fits 3.5, 5, 6 & 7 gallon buckets, Blue, Made in USA

I love everything about these... they are "Food Grade" 90 mils strong... Then combine them with the FANTASTIC very well made Hudson Exchange 5 Gallon Buckets with their Bottom Grip Handle and HDPE. It makes it a snap to dump out 5 gallons of car wash material. Then I also added Grit Guards & Washboards which easily clear the bottom handle that intrudes into the bottom inside of these buckets (see photos). So the Grit Guards do hover a lil' bit further above the bottom than they do in other 5 gal. buckets. But I personally like how they are a lil' further above the bottom, perhaps more separation of dirt that would settle on the bottom!!! Plus, the Gamma2 Seal Lids fit like a glove (which the Gamma 2's take some good hand strength to install) but it's worth it to keep dust and insects out of the buckets between washes.So essentially I made "custom" color coordinated buckets for my own personal auto detailing... and we will be buying more of these for my wife and her beekeeping... along with the sold separately Snappy Grip handles that I also installed (again, see photos). It’s the lil’ things make a job more pleasurable. 🤓Well I hope this might perhaps be helpful to others out there! 😇

These Gamma2 lids went on my existing Lowes buckets in 30 seconds using a rubber mallet. I plan to use a few of these twist top buckets to empty my RV gray water tank in a proper receptacle within the campground. Lids keep water from sloshing out while driving to the waste dump. Much cheaper than the towable RV waste tanks. Just need a little elbow grease!

I TRAVEL WITH MINE ON MY CARGO RACK BEHIND MY VAN FULL OF DOG FOOD THROUGH RAIN, SUN ETC. IT HAS NOT LEAKED. ALTHOUGH THE COLOR HAS FADED, BEING OUTSIDE FOR 6 MONTHS WHICH I EXPECTED. I ENDED UP BUYING ANOTHER ONE FOR WHEN I WEAR THIS ONE OUT. THE PURCHASE WAS WORTH IT TO ME.

Bought these to store dog food in. They're feel pretty durable and well made. I put them on Lowes blue buckets as well as some old 5 gal buckets I had around, they fit pretty securely to both. I took the lid off, started at one end until it snapped in place and worked around the edge until it all snapped on. I did it by hand and didn't need a mallet or anything like some of the other reviews said.

Some reviews say that you can use this lid with a Lowe's bucket, but I would recommend against it. I would recommend purchasing a bucket specifically for this lid or a lid/bucket combo.Longer story now: I thought I would save money by using a Lowe's bucket. I tried to get the ring on by sitting on it, standing on it, hammering with a rubber mallet, etc and eventually gave up. I then ordered a 3-pack lid/bucket combo. I was able to snap three bucket/lid combos together without too much effort (if you don't have a strong grip you might have more trouble). Next, I tried again with the Lowe's bucket. I finally was able to get the ring around most of the bucket, but the last few inches were very difficult. I ended up using a short piece of 2x4 on the ring and hammered the end of the 2x4 with my rubber mallet. This finally got the ring on. But the ring may be cracked or damaged after all the effort. So I highly recommend against using this product with a Lowe's bucket.

Installing the plastic ring and the threaded lid is much easier if you wipe the bucket rim and the lid threads with silicon before installing. Simply spray a paper towel with silicon grease like Liquid Wrench and wipe the bucket rim and the lid threads. Installation and use is much easier with this simple trick. The silicon application is very thin and won’t harm the rubber gaskets. Wiping it on is much more precise and controlled and I didn’t have to use a rubber mallet to install the bucket ring thereby risking a cracked ring.

We use these lids in 5 gallon buckets when we go crabbing or any sports activities that have to do with transporting water or liquids. You don’t have to worry about it filling in the back of your truck or car. Highly recommend.

This is all good. For my purposes it was a bit expensive as I could have simply purchased the gamma lid on Amazon for about $12 and a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket for $5.I really didn’t need the “food safe” aspect and likely that is the driver of the higher cost. Regardless however it is as it states and heavy duty for sure

As a large family, we buy many dry items in bulk. After seeing "gamma lids" recommended online, I bought one and a "Meguiars" 5 gallon bucket to use it with (also available on Amazon). The lid is tricky to install, but there are heaps of YouTube videos to point you in the right direction. I have 3 of these buckets and lids now to store my bulk flour, rice, and diatomaceous earth in. My older kids can easily open them, but the tiny one can't - so that's a win! We really like them.

These lids do not fit 5 gal food service buckets

Original Gamma lids and fits my Auto Rae-Chem 17ltr car wash buckets perfectly.Did the seat test on these lids and happy to say it held up my 80+ kg frame.All is good.

These lids are a game changer for long term and bulk storage buckets. Excellent for every day use items like pet food or cooking ingredients.
