ランディングギアは割り切ったつくりですが、模型ではなくおもちゃですから。おもちゃとして見ると、塗装やモールドは頑張っていると思います。ダイキャストの心地良い重量感に、王道のシャークマウス。もっと精密で繊細な模型は世にありますが、このP-40はリアルさとおもちゃっぽさ（耐久性）の落とし所が絶妙です。こういうのが欲しかった、という方もおられるのではないでしょうか。
