Great magazine........once they finally deliver it to you
I wanted to get subscribed to a recording studio type magazine. I read reviews about this and saw people complain about subscribing and either waiting for months to get their first issue or didn't receive one at all. I thought to myself "how can that be, no company can be that bad". So I subscribed.I was notified that my first issue would arrive in a few weeks, instead a few months did go by. Needless to say I was pretty upset at a businesses continued incompitence. Do they WANT to go out of business?? So I contacted them via email and said basically "WTH??" After that my first issue arrived soon after and ever since. The magazine is great, I like a lot of the informative articles and seems fairly affordable for someone cheap like me. I keep renewing it so far. But there definately seems to be some level of incompitence upon receiving the first issue. I hope someone up in management is listening!! This problem is unacceptable!I first rated this 4 stars but after some thought donwgraded it to 3 stars strictly because of the problems of receiving the first issue. This simply cannot happen in any business not run by the government.

Wealth of information!
The vast amount of quality information on gear is supplemented with links for even more detailed "how-to's" on the Recording Magazine website. Great specialty info.

Still waiting, 3 months later
Don't bother. I payed for this 3 months ago and am still waiting. How hard can it be to initiate an automated subscription in this day and age?

It can be hard to find up to date info. This has it all in one place. Saves me time.

great trade magazine
I really get a lot out of Recording Magazine. It is great for both professionals in the trade, as well as DIYers, amateurs and beginners. I'm a professional, and still learn something new every issue!

Synapse Services (The company that handles your subscription) SUCKS!
Amazon, apparently, contracts out these subscription services to Synapse, Inc. I ordered Mix and Recording Magazine for my husband for XMAS on DEC.5th. We have never received EITHER magazine. When I called to inquire, I was told that it it would be 4 BUSINESS DAYS before I would be contacted by a customer service representative who could help me with my problem.I do not recommend anyone subscribe to any magazine through Amazon that is handled by Synapse,Inc. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I the rating system would not allow me to give them ZERO.
