Leather Pocket Notepad Steel Case Holder with Pen and Refillable Paper for To Do Lists and Note Jotting (The Forerunner)

It seems I am the first review for this! This is also my first Amazon review, but for this small company M&F Accessible Trends, it seems like they deserve it because it feels like they are trying to create some new, cool things.Basically, it is a very small, pocket sized notepad for taking notes. It is a little heavier than you might think, but personally I see that as a big plus because the build quality feels a bit nicer than your average small paper, stapled together notebook. There is a magnet on the inside touching metal on the inner part above the paper so it stays shut, which is very nice and elegant. The paper has no lines, may be a plus for you may not.There is metal on the top and bottom guarding the paper at all costs, which is nice because you don't want to accidentally wrinkle the paper in your pocket or something. On the side, it is guarded by the pen. The pen is nice and slim, not too small to be uncomfortable even for a male's hands.A couple small cons to be fair about the review: the metal on the outside (although very fashionable) is very easy to smudge with fingerprints. If you're a bit of a perfectionist, you may need to figure out some way to wipe it down every now and again.The paper it comes with and the company is selling is also a bit smaller than the industry standard of 3x5, but if you're crafty I'm sure you could get a different pad and replace it by slicing a bit of the paper off. Personally I would like to buy more of the paper that they are selling with the item because it seems nice and fits perfectly, but it may be a bit too pricey to continually get more paper replacements shipped. It seems they also don't replace the pen, so I don't know what I'll do when the ink runs out; I suppose I'll open up the pen and try to replace the ink.Overall: A very cool notepad with nice leather exterior and solid build. If you want a classy notepad to bring around the office or any creative space you desire, this is definitely a very elegant one to consider.

love this little guy but the chrome piece glued to the outside of the notepad got a bit loose and it was so sharp it sliced my finger right open as soon as I reached in my pocket while driving. Other than that its great size, firmness, closes well, strong clasp, good materials, just sharp

This is such a great size to fit in my purse and I love that the pen holds it closed so everything is together.

I got this as a gift for my friend birthday and he extremely love it. The quality of the product is very good. It's compact, fits into men's shirt pocket.

More than expected! The notepad feels so a lot more sturdy than i thought. The paper writes well and although the metal plate prone to get smeared by fingerprints a quick wipe takes care of it.

I like the product but hate the pen. I got this because I liked how the pen was attached to the pad BUT, if the pen drys out or skips when you write , then the pen stinks. I have looked for refills but cannot find. They(the same company) do sell the whole pen. Wow, I just thought the ink would last longer then a couple of weeks. I haven't even written very much. So. Just get a cheap pad of paper and carry a little pen. It works and then your not buying something to throw away and buy again.

This product had almost everything I wanted. Small size. 360 fold back cover page. Nice pen and pen holder. Turns out I was sent the wrong model. I ordered The Diamond and instead received The Forerunner. Not a big deal because both are cool. I kept The Forerunner. It said it came with an unlined notepad and refills. The product description didn't say anything about refills and none of the questions answered this definitively so I wrote a question asking where I could find refills and the answer was to see the frequently bought section. Well there were no pads of the needed sized the related products which they called "frequently bought section". So, I went out and found another company that made about the same size refills and they work. Search "Wellspring Flip Note Lined Refill Pad". You want "2.375-x-4.1255 Inches" refills, they fit perfect.These two things made my buying experience sub-par and makes the company look suspect in their abilities in both order fulfillment and customer service. 2 stars for that but the product gets 5 stars.
