Clubman Pinaud Beard Balm, 2 oz

I don't buy this for me otherwise I would be the bearded lady not that there is anything wrong with that, but I do get this for my husband who has a magnificent beard. He tells me that this beard balm helps keep the facial hair manageable. And I think that it, the beard balm, has a nice scent and makes the beard touchably (is that a word? It is now) soft.

I have tried several different balms, and this one is by far the best! The hold and style properties are magnificent, the scent is not strong and obtrusive like most, and it does not leave that cakey appearance. Rub it in and style and it will last all day!

I have bought several jars, some from the local drugstore, some from Amazon, and have had different textures in all of them. Most of the time, the balm is creamy and works into my goatee well; sometimes the balm is dry and waxy and doesn't soften or cream in my hands, and will leave sticky, waxy clumps in my beard. I have a lotion style tube from Clubman that I work into the dryer jars and that seems to correct the issue, but I would definitely prefer that the balm is always the same creamy texture in every jar.When the product is soft and creamy, I love it! It smells decent (it pairs well with my face cream) and leaves my beard soft and shapeable.

I like the smell of this ,but the consistency is a bit weird .It seems to hold pretty well without being sticky ,it kinda reminds me of pudding though. For the price it's decent,but I think there are better options in the same price range .

Not too sticky, easy to apply and leaves a clean feel and look

UPDATE June 2022My last order of this was received in new condition, unlike the original reviews below.I have not found another brand that is just the right consistency like this one and I have tried many. Also, this one is water soluble so it washes off of fingers and comb easily.ORIGINAL REVIEWI purchased this product twice through Amazon and twice it was defective. I have used it for a while and am familiar with what it is like.The first time, it smelled bad but it worked normally. After using it a few times though, I couldn't stand it and threw it out.The second time, the container was about half empty and the top was not smooth, like it had been used. See pic. I shouldn't try a third time but I can no longer find it locally so I am getting a replacement for the last order. I'll let you know how it goes.

Balming my beard.

Great product, it was my first time using a beard balm myself and i was looking for something in a decent price range to test it out.The packaging was great, well protected and has that clean cut feel once you open it, easy to use and smells great without being too strong either.I noticed the smell a few times during the following hours and i would say it vanishes after a few hours, the hold itself will last you well over 4-5 hours if you don't play with your beard or anything like that.I would recommend for an inexpensive product that does what it says!

Slightly soapy smell. Overall good beard balm

Seemsed decent at first but doesn't last the full day. By the end of the day my beard was frizzy and all over the place.
