Twice in the ad it says that this is a polyester material. I never noticed the part that said it was mylar. This is not thread. It is thin mylar ribbon. It does sew like thread (which is why I'm not giving this a 1 star). However it it very hard to handle. There is no way to keep it from unraveling once you start using it. My spool actually started unraveling from 2 points before I was even able to use it. I'm slightly disappointed.

I use these for dream catchers and quilting. I love the sparkle.

Bought this for building fishing rods, unfortunately this is less thread and more ribbon material. Might work for trim bands but not good for much else.

I purchased this product to add a touch of sparkle to a crochet project. It worked wonders. The sweater set I made for my granddaughter was perfect. Just the right touch of bling. It has become her go to chilly weather sweater.

I just used mySuperior thread, glitter thread silver for the first time. The thread worked great with minimal breakage. You must use a metalic needle and loosen the tension to prevent breakage. I have tried 4 other threads with poor results due to breakage, and this thread worked great. I sure hope the other thread colors work as well.

Beautiful thread. I had to slow my machine down as this thread breaks quite often. I have heard of others having this same issue so I'm not sure if that's typical or not.

Lovely refraction of light, but it was not suited to this project. Maybe it will be suitable for another.

Spoon unraveling. Could not get at actual end. Hard to work with. Small spool came in a huge box..
