It works
We have a pond in our yard and as with all ponds algae can become an issue. We have tried many products but this works better than any other things we have used. Our pond is now always algae free.

I do NOT recommend IonGen!!
I am updating my last review. 2 years ago I purchased an Ion Gen system from my pond people in June. By October, the probe stopped working. (please see below about probe problems.)**I replaced that from this seller. In November, I lost all 12 of my beautiful koi I raised from babies. My koi had pretty much stopped eating as they get ready to hibernate by December. I was devastated. I couldn't understand what happened as they had nice weigh on them. They had no diseases. I called my pond people and they said we had a few frigid days in November and that might have killed them. Really? Koi are cold water fish. They survived the years when the pond froze over in February but the waterfalls kept going strong. I have a heater/deicer I put in to keep a section open when that happens. Everyone commented on how clean my pond was and how beautiful the koi were. They were my hobby. The pond doesn't freeze over in November. Maybe we'll get a bad February where it freezes over but it lasts maybe 2 days. I live in Tennessee so what's the excuse? My pond is 4' deep and they go under a large flat slab at the bottom of the pond to hibernate starting in December and start to slowly come out mid-March.April, 2023, the control panel stopped working. I replaced that and the same thing happened in less than a year. My pond people couldn't get it to work properly. So, in less than two years, Ion Gen was replaced 2 times. I have no koi in my 2800 gallon pond. The water should be sparkling only the rocks started to get thick gunk on them that would peel off in big slabs. My pond people came out, emptied the pond, pressure washed and refilled it. Within 2 weeks, the sludge started back on the rocks.I had them come out again in August and repeat the cleaning. This time I took the Ion Gen out and guess what? No more sludge!! Sparkling water!! Someone else said the same thing in their review about Ion Gen and the sludge or thick growth on rocks. My pond people said "Well, yes, Ion Gen tends to do that." Really? Does it kill your fish too? I've had it! Ion Gen is too expensive to replace each year. It killed my fish. The system is unpredictable.**I am so sorry but i forgot to take a picture of the second probe I purchased from here. Both of the prongs had basically evaporated down to where they connect to the black area on the top. When my pond people were shocked when they saw the probe. It was liked it melted away. They took it with them when they left so I don't have a picture to show you. So, no more Ion Gen.

IonGen is a good system
I inherited the IonGen system when I purchased my current home three years ago. I've purchased a replacement probe per year and it is very effective in helping to keep my pond/waterfall clear. Pond scum does still appear and adhere to the rocks but overall the water looks very clear and you can see right to the bottom of the approximately 4' deep pond.

Exactly what was needed and arrived quickly
Crucial part of the IonGen system . Arrived in time for the water-feature set-up. No cheap, but copper is a bit pricey. Only advice would be to order some Silicone Grease with it to allow for a good seal once the probe is replaced.
