Anointed Expository Preaching Paperback – September 1, 2003

This book is very helpful for those that are interested in the Pastoral position. Not only that, but it is helpful for anyone who is studying the word while leading a group of people (do keep in mind that a group of people can also mean from 2 people or more).

Whether you are a preacher, evangelist, Sunday School teacher, or a lay person, you need this book. It is very insightful for sermon and lesson preparation. Thank you Dr. Olford.

Such a great book. Really opened my eyes.

This book is a homiletical masterpiece. All of the advice and instruction given is itself an illustration of the content.

Stelphen Olford was very detailed in this book identifying the need and the "how to" preach expositionally. He lets the reader know tht every sermon should be expositional. In other words, when preaching, the preacher must expose what is in the text.

This book should be THE required homilitics book for every would be preacher. Naturally, there are other books on sermon preparation which cover similar topics but this father/son duo emphasis for God's anointing was more than helpful, it was convicting. If you apply the authors admonition, I am convinced your congregation will benefit.

This book is an excellent resource for preaching your first sermon or if you are a seasoned preacher.The author has really brought this subject to the forefront of what needs to be preached and how to do that in an effective way.

I chose this text because it was on my study list. After getting into it, I found it complimented another book on preaching that really inspired me called Preaching With Freshness. This was a practical look at Preaching in an Expository style. It was educational,and I found it educational, challenging and a blessing
