Fairly Easy Assembly and Install
My 22 year old screen door was in bad shape, with little holes and tears in the screening. I was so happy to find this kit on Amazon for a very good price. Instructions were clear and fairly well-written. A little better explanation of how to use the tool to install the spline would have helped, but I discovered that careful use of a flat blade screwdriver to finish seating the spline helped tremendously. I'm a 72 year old petite grandmother with only basic assembly skills, yet I found this to be fairly easy to put together and install by myself. Looks very nice and of much better quality than the original screen that came with this sliding glass door. I most likely will not drill the holes needed to install the little latch, since I never locked the previous screen door.

Needs better instructions
This door is fully unassembled. Instructions did not have labeled parts or which direction to screw parts together. After screwing the frame in the wrong direction (step 1?), I YouTubed it & had no problems. It took about 2 hours to assemble & put up. Works well.

Works great
So much better than my old slider. This one has a floating top and bottom that adjusts on it's own. The old one had 4 little pullies with screws to adjust. And they never stayed in place. We were always fooling with it to get it to slide properly. We've been using this new one for months now. Still nice and smooth. I am going to get another one for the other side.

Lock is almost unusable, tool for screen doesn't even fit
Everything was going swimmingly until the screen. The tool is incorrectly sized, it's too big to push into the gap. That doesn't really matter since the screen doesn't keep shape. If you get it really taut you should be able to use the concave side to seat the spline, but again the tool is too wide, and mostly you will be using one pointy edge of it to seat the spline instead. I got blisters doing it with sheer force and an ill fitting tool. And the screen had wrinkles for sure. Use something to clamp it really hard if you have it, and you might be able to avoid the wrinkles. The main issue with this door is the poorly made lock. It is absolute garbage. It is just not to tolerance. Slide it down and the latch goes diagonal and slips out of the internal groove, and you might be able to get it working again by squishing both sides together, but if its barely workable at first use, it certainly won't get better with time. The track is just not holding it tightly enough. I could have been fine with the door if not for the bad lock, it is definitely the biggest reason I would tell you not to buy this. It is trash. In good news the adjustable part worked great, and actually fits the sizes it claims to fit. The plastic edging however does not go the full promised length of 80.5" though, it goes less than 80", maybe 79.5"? You'll have to cover that extra gap somehow, or bugs will get in.One more complaint: that packaging was incredibly hard to get into, most of the staples are impossible to pull on they are so deep. It took me upwards of 30 minutes to open the damn thing. I get that the tube needs to not pop the plastic end out when the frame pieces slide, but chill a little.

cheaply made parts
First off the door works as a door. Great. +1 point. However, the frame was not square (-1 point), the screen provided was stuffed into the tube so that when you pull it out it was and still is wrinkled (-1 point). If this wasn't enough, the screen material was cut at an odd shape so that there was barely enough to cover one end (if you guessed -1 point, you'd be wrong; -2 points). Because of the odd shape of the screen, I was forced to install it with bubbles in the screen (-1 point). I suppose I can buy replacement screen material, but then why even buy this product.I ended up making the door fit, it took a bit of bending into shape (which also affected the screen fit to the frame).I wouldn't recommend at this price. There are cheaper options that are already put together at the local hardware store. I just didn't want to wait until it was in stock again. I guess this is what I get.

Carefully read instructions before assembly...
This was a good purchase. The quality was higher than the more pricey, lower quality pre-built ones you could purchase at the local hardware chain stores. The instructions were good and easy to put together. From experience I have learned on other items needing assembly that if you read the instructions a couple of times before you start work it makes the job much easier.

Flimsy
Door not very sturdy. Seller could have been more helpful regarding the requested refund. He didn't 6 refund full amount of purchase on an unopened package ordered in error. I ordered two by mistake

Well Made
Much better than the cheap doors you get at the home store. This is well made, sturdy and easy to put together. It adjusts nicely (I have an out-of-square slider) and slides smoothly. Just take you time putting it together. I am mechanically competent & it took me an hour.
