HAPEE Dog Raincoats for Large Dogs with Reflective Strip Hoodie,Rain Poncho Jacket for Dogs

Perfect in all ways for my 110# German Shepherd mix. I got the XL which allows room for his harness and leash beneath, or just plenty of room and so extra water resistance without. It sort of drapes like a poncho which seems to deflect the rain and wet from weeds etc better than form fitting types. He's definitely drier with this design!Attributes:- Leash hole is reinforced and plenty large to allow both the leash and it's hardware to fit thru easily.- Waterproof. Truly! Rain just beads up and rolls off.- Material is a plastic type coating over a thin-ish cloth material on the reverse, the side touching the dog. Lightweight and cool for the CA rains here and my thick coated dog (who gets too warm with other materials).- Elastic bands are plenty large enough to fit over his back legs without being restrictive. Nec'y to anchor the jacket. They're the white elastic type like on underwear. Maybe 1/4" wide, but cloth so not going to rip his fur out either.- Chest strap helps the jacket stay anchored via the strap at midsection starting at 1 side thru buckle on other, doubling back on itself to attach with Velcro. Adequate length. Tho cuz I got larger size, when he's without his harness beneath I sometimes forgo the Velcro and tie it instead. It's also reflective for nighttime visibility.Silly unnecessary hood. My dog anyway doesn't like it; restricts his visibility and hearing. Most every raincoat for dogs comes with a hood anymore tho. Useless. Oh well.Definitely recommend. Excellent value.

Love the style & color and the fabric lets us take a walk when it is misting or raining. Rated "Fit as Expected" because our Border Collie is 55 lbs and never wears the same size no matter what type of apparel. Bought the XL which gave more side coverage and was longer on his back, but returned it because I worried it was so long it might interfere with him lifting his leg to urinate. The Large doesn't cover to his tail, and sides ARE shorter, which I wanted. No problem in returning/reordering. Did it in 2 transactions so I could have both sizes to compare at the same time. Photos show the coat does turn and get lop-sided when not using the elastic leg bands to keep back of coat straight. Haven't used bands yet as I want to see how much they may or may not interfere with his stride and check to make sure they aren't too tight. Photo 1, coat is on straight; Photos 2-3 you can see some twisting, but remember that is without leg straps. The waist band and Velcro is very easy to use and ample length.

I love the waterproof fabric and the reflective strip BUT the sizing is so difficult to gauge. I bought this for my Border Collie/Aussie mix who is about 45 lbs and thought that since he has a long-ish back an XL (24" back) would be OK. It's sooooo big on him that the belly band even on its tightest setting is loose and the jacket just slips sideways constantly. The neck hole is just the right size and elastic so keeps the water out but that worries me that if I order a smaller size the neck opening will be too small.

This is a great product! It stays on our pup and keeps most of her body dry! It's very durable! I had to add some extra Velcro to keep it in place around her belly, which is no big deal. I would definitely order again.

It looks good, material feels right, but sizing runs a tad small. Exchanging for a larger size.

This is a perfect fitting raincoat for my dog, "Boo". It runs from the base of his tail to the top of his head, without covering his eyes, as many jackets do. I like how the jacket splays out to allow the rain to run away from Boo's body, and not down his legs. The jacket is tough, made of a rubberized material, and it is definitely waterproof. This is our go-to jacket for heavy rain when it is time to go out. We do have another rain jacket which is made of nylon and is good for Boo's go-bag because it folds up small and flat. But, this material is probably just water resistant and appropriate for light to medium rain. The only thing that I would modify on the HAPEE Dog Raincoat if given the opportunity is, I would shorten the strap or lengthen the Velcro on the body of the jacket so to eliminate excess strap from flopping around. Boo is on the slim side, so if you have a "healthy" dog, you should be fine. I will definitely buy another HAPEE Dog Raincoat when the time comes. Boo is a 50lb Sheepadoodle, and I bought a Large jacket with the 20" Back.

Purchased for 45-50lb pitty-type mutt. We did measure her per the guide, and the large we ordered fit correctly. It fits her well naked or over her harness, with a small hole to pass the leash through, which is well-placed for her harness and seems well-placed for a leash attaching to a collar.It does slip a little from side to side when she has no harness with leash attached, but not terribly, and doesn’t tend to slip at all with leash attached through the hole.Also, she’s adorable in it! And she’s a much less wet mutt when she wears it out in the rain.I feel like the hood is a little useless, but maybe it would work on a dog without bat ears. As I do not have such a dog, I can’t speak to that.

Surprisingly sturdy and waterproof material! It held up well during our 20 minute rainy walk today (no wind, 5.88 mm rain). When we got home and I took off the coat, the fur that had been covered by the fabric was completely dry.I think I could’ve gone with a large for my girl. She’s a very, very slender 50 lb Shepherd mix. The hood fit over her ears while standing, but sat awkwardly on her neck during our walk. I think it would stay on if I tied a light scarf around it? Nevertheless, this raincoat worked really well despite being a little baggy.I would totally buy again if more colors (purple? Turquoise? Ducky patterns? ;D) are ever released!

Ich habe für meinen Berner Sennenhund Rüden die Größe 2XL++ gekauft. Die Größe XL++ die ich zuerst hatte war viel zu klein. Jetzt passt der Regenmantel genau in der Länge, am Hals und bei der Kapuze, nur der Bauchgurt könnte etwas enger einzustellen sein. Die Beinschlaufen sind wichtig, damit der Mantel beim Laufen auf dem Rücken bleibt.Wichtig: Das Loch auf dem Rücken für die Leine befindet sich zwischen den Schultern, lässt sich also nur mit einem Geschirr benutzen, nicht mit einem Halsband.Das Material erinnert an einen klassischen Ostfriesennerz, insbesondere in der gelb-orangenen Farbe, und hält wirklich dicht. Es wirkt strapazierfähig und hoffentlich langlebig.Das Material riecht, frisch ausgepackt, nur wenig. Ein Plus gegenüber vielen anderen Produkten.Meinen Berner stört der Mantel beim Laufen nicht, auch die Kapuze lässt sich über den Kopf ziehen ohne dass sie ihm über die Augen fällt. Die Kapuze hat auch ein Zugband, welches ich aber bis jetzt nicht gebraucht habe.

I ordered this rain coat twice, the first time I sent back it was way to small and I went on the sizes they had. so I reordered a much larger size this was ages ago and to this day I still have NOT received it NOR had any reply to my emails and Yet they took my money. so this wont get any rating from me. and yet this raincoat would be perfect for my service dog.
