Outstanding!!!
Just what I needed! Finally!! This is a rock solid offset mount that is light unlike some of the other heavier mounts I’ve tried. I am so impressed I immediately ordered a second after installing the first! The first holds a laser and the second will hold my Cloud Defensive tape switch for my Surefire light. This is truly an outstanding mount!!

High quality
Very nice offset mount, feels solid and of high quality. Was perfect to get my Inforce WML right where I needed it.

Perfect for the Inforce Weapon light series
The mount is the best balance I found for the Inforce weapon lights. It allows the 45 degree cant, but doesn't get too far outside of the coaxial area to do it. I used a GG&G mount previously and it was decent... but put the light a solid 0.5" further out. This keeps the light and controls tucked down in for a very natural access/ergonomic position. It is pricey, and certainly is a money maker for the designers. I'm sure it costs more to have HSG's logo on it, but that is sometimes the way it works when you want the right piece of kit. Since I was issued a full quad-rail, and I'm limited in my accessory choices when it comes to approved lights - this mount is the right tool for the job.

Built to 1913 rail specs unlike another offset mount I bought. It also has a more snug profile compared to others. It's also cheaper than some of the other options. Plus it's easier to use. I say that last part because I stripped the screws on my surefire light when changing the mount and decided it was easier to use this than deal with loctite.

Does the job. Very light and compact.
Good offset mount that is flexible, extremely light, and occupies minimal footprint. The only thing keeping it from a perfect score is the fact that you have to almost completely remove the 2 screws which hold the two components together, if you ever want to unmount this unit from your Picatinny rail. I wish the supplied screws were maybe 2 millimeters longer, so the 2 pieces can remain reliably joined if you decide to move this to a different spot on your weapon rail. As it is, the two pieces are barely hanging on and have a tendency to separate once you loosen the 2 screws enough to unmount the clamp from the rail.

Very Nice All Around
I have used the Inforce light for quite some time but wasn't aware of the thorntail mount. I have tried other 45* mounts only to have them place the light too far from the rail. It was okay but nowhere near as natural and smooth as this mount. Very good quality machining and finish as well, all around a great mount.

Seems to be ok but ???
Mounted a Streamlight to my Binelli M4 today with this Thorntail Offset mount. Found the directions useless but got it attached ok. To enhance my pleasure the fallen wrench supplied did not match the set screws necessitating some severe language during a trip to the garage. That's why 3 stars and not 5. It feels secure enough but some range time will be the final decision maker. Their phone number don't work and can't find a website for them??? Frustrating.

Great Piece of Equipment
I now have two of these IWC Thorntails. I love the angle at which these align a flashlight on my carbines. The Thorntail paired with an Inforce WML makes for a great combo. Other lights will be just as fine on there as well.
