Knit Picks Spinning Wooden Yarn Spindle - Solid Acacia

We had to make some adjustments because the wood was either warped or just plain off balance and it was causing friction that stopped it from turning, but after that it works great.

I bought this to hold cone of cotton yard. It works great, spins smoothly with the normal tug of my hand while crocheting, no extra effort or movement. The wood is beautiful. It was simple to assemble. the spindle just screwed in . The threads were tight. It takes up very little more room than the cone of yard did on my table.

This yarn holder moves easily and is only one piece.

I love that it spins but I used it for about three hours and the dowel came disconnected from the base. I’m going to wood glue it back together but the hardware to connect the base to the dowel is not very heavy duty. Otherwise this would be getting five stars, because I have to fix it myself. Honestly I think it’s too expensive given that it broke so quickly.

I absolutely love this spindle. I can't believe I ever knit without it! So much easier for me to use than I the yarn bowls. It's so pretty too!

Broke after 2nd use

This is a beautiful wood piece. The yarn come around so easily and makes knitting a pleasure.

Got this out and put it together but the item would barely spin. In my estimation it would have simply pulled over rather than spun with yarn on the spindle so right back in the box it went for a return.How disappointing - I love Knit Picks items generally. Their yarn is terrific and this item was beautiful to look at. What a disappointment the function just isn't there.
