Excellent book get the talents of many gifted black, who chose the career path less traveled, to do great things in life for all people...Strongly recommend this book for all students!

This book was enjoyed by the whole family. The author provides descriptions of each lady that truly shows their humanity and makes them relatable. We were able to point out some things that paralleled our child's upbringing to encourage her to stay on the path. It also gives tips for family engagement and self-exploration. This will definitely be a Kwanzaa gift for the children in our village this year.

Great for African American children

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to feel proud of the world. This book is so powerful, and I loved to learn about all these amazing women. I had never heard of Katherine Johnson before I read this. Everyone should know that she was in high school at 10. So many amazing women.

My daughter and I loved reading this book. Not only was my daughter engaged, but I could see how impressed and inspired she was as she read about women that look like her family. The book was a great representation of Black / African American women across different ages and backgrounds, who persevered despite the many obstacles they faced. Bedtime stories in our home will forever be changed. Thank you Ms. Pellum for bringing light to such an awe inspiring group of Black women.

Very informative and well written book. I got this for my 7y/o, who enjoys reading about 3 chapters a week from this book. It’s very reader friendly for all ages. He was very excited to bring this book to school for Black History Month!

I accidentally bought this for my Pre-K class. Turned out to be a great book for my twin 11 yr old girls. I think it would be good for 8-12 yr olds.

A must for kids

good book which shows black women in science and is uplifting.

Brilliant book, disappointed with book because of a printing issue with quite a few pages where pages haven't printed properly. Returning book but would get again (fingers crossed just a fluke issue)
