We've use the black garlic with breakfast for three years, Rio Grande brand had held consistant standard of its flavor, color and quality. I noticed the sizes of the garlic are a bit varied however it did not bother me. Thank you

In past I made my own Black Garlic, but I was short on time and impatient so I thought I would do something different. By comparison, the flavor and texture is different from my DIY. The Black Garlic has a softer texture and could be spread easily enough with a knife. The taste is Unami, but more toward the sweet side then the savory earthy side. The level of sweetness is in line with sauteed red onions.Great Product

China doesn't allow inspection of their farms, so the USDA Organic label on the side of the jar is beyond misleading. With widespread use of bleach and harmful pesticides on China grown garlic, I'll be looking for a US grown option.
