Useful for specific situations
This was useful for a trip to Japan when train stations require that all bikes to be covered to get in.It was easy enough to open up the cover, and fits the bike really well. The cover is also very compactly folded too and easy carry. But other than a specific environment like that, I don't see myself needing this.

Turns out, you will never actually need this cover.
Over the past twenty years, I have owned three Bromptons. I bought this cover for each of them (I included the cover when I sold the first two bikes).I have commuted on my Brompton and toured on it on four continents. Lots of planes, trains, busses, and cars. I just returned from a two week tour, where I stayed in hotels and ate in restaurants. I took the bike with me into every hotel, B&B, and restaurant. A couple of museums turned me away -- but they would have had I covered the bike because they only had small lockers to hold backpacks or bags. Not once, ever, have I needed to cover my Brompton. No hotel has ever cared, nor has a restaurant (it's true that I usually do not bring my bike to dinner. I leave it in my room). Anyone willing hold the bike as checked luggage, at a hotel or coat check for example, did not care if it was covered. If I boarded a flight with my bike, the zipped up $3 Ikea Dimpa Bag that everyone uses is concealment enough (it may not be protection enough, but that's a different problem). It's a fine cover. I have even used it once or twice -- but I didn't need to. I think that the use case that prompted Brompton to create this cover might have been valid 20-30 years ago. But today, everybody knows it's a folding bike. And nobody cares if it is covered or not.
