New Star Foodservice Stainless Steel Funnel with Detachable Strainer/Filter, 5", Silver

I docked a star because my first order came without the strainer and the plastic bag it came in was opened so I immediately ordered a replacement. The replacement had all its parts, the top looks a little bent, came in a sealed bag and did not have a scent to it. I have not used this strainer as of yet but it feels sturdy and fits perfectly on my mason jars where I will most likely be using it to strain herbal concoctions. I think this could be $2 less than what it is currently selling for due to the reasons I’ve explained.

Terrible buy. The funnel seems to be 2 separate molded pieces. It has an uneven lip on the inside which does not allow for a seamless transfer of powders... See pictures.

I purchased this funnel to strain the juice after blending some fruits in a blender. This tool did not do that task well at all as it clogged too quickly due to the strainer design.However, that was not the fault of the funnel as it functions perfectly for what ever the strainer was designed for. The construction of this funnel consists of a stamped stainless steel down tube, the cone section, and the handle that is spot welded to the cone section. The down tube seems to be swaged on to the cone section, and do not show any sign of being easily breakable. The cone and the down tube is made from 0.010" stainless steel material, but do not flex under load due to the design. The rim of the cone bent outwards so there is no place on this funnel where bits of stuff can be trapped. The strainer insert seems sturdy, and is fastened to the funnel by two prongs that hold it in the down tube, and can be easily removed by a pin that sticks from the other side. The holes in the strainer are .100" in diameter. I will be keeping this funnel as it will come in handy someday.So what did I use to strain my juice mash? I used a metal mesh strainer (metal mesh similar to what looks like a window screen) and this funnel. :)

I bought this for a reason that is probably not going to be useful to anyone else... but it shows how it works... I buy hair gel.. its a biggish tub and has a hand pump on the top...when the pump gets the last of what it can out it leaves at least 4 weeks of gel in the bottom.. so I got this for the end bottle....and I place this in the new one... turn the old one upside down in to the funnel top and it works a dream... this is a nice funell and would be perfect for the kitchen and for crafty cooks out there

This is awesome for making elderberry syrup! A friend had recommended it to me and I finally grabbed one. It did not disappoint! Plus the strainer portion is easy to remove for cleaning!

I've had a plastic funnel for years. After wanting to switch to metal to use with oil, I found this. I had no idea that they made funnels with strainers. Great idea! I've used it a few times with the strainer in, worked well, no complaints. It's sturdy and seems well made. Even put it in the dishwasher on the top rack and no rush spots. Would buy again.

I got this to strain oil out of my turkey fryer so I don't use 30.00 in oil one time and then trash it, it works great, solid aluminum, good size and sturdy and won't rust, screen comes out for cleaning

We use this for pouring the grease from the fish fryer back into the jug for storage. Works good and the screen is nice for catching leftover food particles.

Recomiendo este producto ya que hemos estado usandolo varios meses y no se ha oxidado.El colador desmontable ha sido muy util. El producto es de buena calidad. Es algo que no se consigue facilmente en los supermercados.Llego en el tiempo esperado y en buenas condiciones.
