Little Dark part 2 of Zen and the art of Vampires.
Continuing on from Zen and the Art of Vampires. Not to give spoilers but one here so if you don't want to read on stop here!! SPOILER ALERT 🚨!Not every ghost 👻 Pia collects gets a HEA. That's upsetting. You don't really get to know what happens to him after he's turned into lich and llargi has him!!Ok moving on besides this still too much angst over weight and misconceptions still abound. No more knowledge truly gained about her job as Zorya. She stumbles through life wavering between being a strong heroine and then whining weak like wimp. I get that you don't like your body but continuing to throw it at us as annoying. Nothing wrong with having a woman be proud of her curves!! Doesn't seem like she's fat! Just a very curvy lady. BBW with lush curves are acceptable to love too!! Just not up to par with her other Dark One novels. Not going to bash on my lovely delectable Katie Mac cuz I truly love her writing. This did have its lol moments just was bit too Dark for me. Not what I expected. Will continue to read whole series. Nothing will deter me from reading a katie Mac Novel!!

One dimensional characters and lack of development make this book not worth reading.
I bought this book because I had read the prior book and was interested in finding out what happened to Pia, but I now regret spending the money as I found Pia to be extremely annoying as she did not seem to evolve and the rest of the characters to be one dimensional. I generally am not looking for more than to be entertained for a brief amount of time, but I do expect more from stories than what was in this book (for example there was an inordinate amount of time spent discussing and using "pet" names).

Amazing series, I want MORE!
I absolutely loved this two set series with Pia, Kristoff, and Alec. The first book is "Zen and the Art of the Vampires", which in its self was wonderful because it wasn't like most novels, it left you hanging at the end, no "happy ever after" after the bad man was defeated, it was awesome! I love the way this is written because it portrays women as actual WOMEN! Like Ms. Katie MacAlister understands that there is no such thing as a cookie cutter woman. That and the tension between her and Kristoff you can just feel. Over all awesome and I will continue to read this series because each book that I find whether it be in the beginning of the series or later just keeps getting better and better.

*Sigh* Dark Ones rock!
POSSIBLE SPOILESFirst, the good. Pia: Every bit as great as the first time around. Kristoff: Sexy, hot, horny, fangy. Everything a Dark One vamp should be. Magda and Ray: Comic relief and a very helpful set of friends.Mattis: Hilarious when dosed with light. Alec: Surprising. The sex scenes: Erotic and oh so memorable. The Plot Twist: Impeccably timed as well as executed. Now, the bad. Plot: I was a bit confused and felt like some of the issues they were addressing here had already been addressed in book one. The misunderstand between Kristoff and Pia: Seemed to me a bit generic. I expected there to be angst and serious hardships in getting the couple back together but it happened, much to my disappointment, rather quickly. Not that it in anyway hindered the books worth or enjoyment but I like Katie MacAlister's reads with more..mmmm....couple struggles.Either way she is a great author who knows how to please. A talent to be enjoyed!

Our Own zoftic Heroine
Second installment of Zen and the Art of Vampires as our intrepid heroine marries twice, sorts out the crazy moon cultists, and decides which husband she wants to keep. This book is Just as delightful as the first.

Fun and delightful
As always, Katie Macalister brings a fun and delightful tale of Dark Ones, the continuing story of Pia and Kristoff.Pia at last finds out Kristoff's real feelings and falls completely head over heels in love with the man. They both go on a quest to find the missing Alec and try stopping the Brotherhood from destroying anymore Dark Ones. It has an unexpected ending which reveals a secret about Kristoff, Alec and the Brotherhood.

Great read
I loved this book! Having read the first one this one couldn't come fast enough and I was not disappointed. It starts with our heroine Pia who after returning back to Seattle is trying to settle back into her life but the people around her have other plans. The Brotherhood isn't going to let her go that easily and is badgering her to perform her Zoyra duties. There not the only ones however. The Morovian council also want to talk to her about allegations that have been made against her. Put all that together with the fact that she desperately misses the man that walked out on her in Iceland it's obvious that Pia is not happy. A visit from her old friend Magda couldn't come fast enough but instead of the girly week they had planned together other plans have been made as Pia finds out she might be able to de-zoyra herself after all. All she needs to do is a few favours and then she'll finally be free to live her life, but she'll need the co-operation of the Morovian council. So she finds herself, Magda and her boyfriend Ray heading to Vienna. Excited and highly nervous about seeing Kristoff again she can't believe the condition she finds him in. It makes the two of them realise that no matter how much they don't like it their bonded together forever. But they have bigger problems then their relationship, Alec has gone missing and no one knows what's happened to him. Put that with a lose soul sucking illigari and a traitor in the council and it all adds up to a lot of fun and adventure.Funny, sweet, sexy and just all around amazing I would recommend this book to everyone!

Smart, amusing and poignant
This story follows-on from 'Zen and the art of vampires' and its great to be back in the company of likeable characters, However, although the plot has resolution, some aspects of it are weaker than I know Ms MacAlister is capable of. It's still FUN!
