I am not one who typically writes reviews, but I just had to say my thoughts on this bag! I traveled with it backpacking for 2 months through multiple countries in Southeast Asia. 12+ flights checking the bag and I did NOT go easy on this thing. It held up so incredibly, I was genuinely impressed! The material is very durable and you can tell it is very well made/stitched throughout and waterproof. The bag held so much more than I thought it could and the side pockets were huge and held a lot as well. I truly could not recommend this bag more for any trip, worth every penny!

SO GREAT! Now that I'm back from my African safari trip, where I was told to use a duffle bag with certain proportions, I can honestly say this bag was amazing. And So GLAD I purchased it. I went on a two week trip so I needed a good mix of clothes - I rolled all my clothes. I could not believe how much I could fit in it. (and it was jammed!) Here is the list I fit in (totaled 17 lbs): two jeans, 2 lightweight nylon type track pants, 1 skort, 1 shorts, two sport bras and 5 underwear (I could wash them), 6 tops (4 short sleeve tees and 2 long sleeve shirts), a sweater, a maxi dress (jersey tank style), a bathing suit, 1 pair each - sandals and sneakers. In the outer pockets: toiletry bag, medication bag, electrical outlet adaptors, cord chargers for phone and watch, baseball hat, and a book! The sturdiness of the fabric was surprisingly rugged and definitely waterproof. It felt like a rubberized canvas. The straps can be fitted to wear as a backpack or carry cross body and there are handles to make it easy to carry by hand. I should have taken a picture, because I had my "must haves" and was able to take them all. I could NOT add a thing.

I bought the Eagle Creek Cargo Hauler Duffel Bag (60L) for a 2-week photo safari in Africa. The bag survived 2 cross-country and 2 cross-Atlantic flights and 4 smaller flights within Africa as CHECKED LUGGAGE without a mark, tear, or other sign of wear.I really like the features of this duffel. The main compartment has a divider that you can use or not, depending on your packing style (I used it to keep my clothes -- in packing cubes -- in one half and other items in the other half). The divider can easily be dropped down if you don't want to use it.The main compartment also has compression straps so you can secure and compact your load. Bonus, the compression straps add extra support to the zipper that secures the U-shaped opening.In addition to the main compartment, this duffel also has extra storage compartments at both ends. Good for isolating things like shoes from your clothing.This duffel has backpack straps for easy carrying and the straps stow away in a zippered pocket to keep them out of the way when not needed -- very handy when checking this bag on an aircraft. The bag also features multiple grab straps for versatility.The only thing I would add to this bag is size. This duffel comes in 40L, 60L, and 90L sizes. For my needs, 90L is too big and 60L is almost too small. I would really prefer an in-between size, maybe 70L.

only used a few times so far, but appears to be a quality, durable bag. i like that it has large side pockets on both ends, as well as a partition which can be hooked to a loop to divide the main compartment in two, or easily taken down if you want a larger contiguous space - for a bag this size, it's nice to have that option, rather than have everything just mixing together and getting jostled around when traveling, and the side pockets hold a good amount, to help keep things organized. the backpack type straps are an added bonus and a nice feature to have. the heavy weight of the material is a slight downside for me; it appears that it will be extremely durable, but maybe moreso than i need, and a lighter material would make the bag a little easier to carry when full. Also a little pricey, although i know eagle creek makes nice products, and this bag does appear to be very high quality, so i guess you get what you pay for.

Expands and holds so much, yet fits under the airplane seat. Sturdy and attractive. Outside-accessed pockets keep toiletries/make-up away from inside stuff. Inside is open with center separator option. Best thing for me personally is, even with a sweater and pair of shoes inside it holds my purse, allowing me to consolidate my carry-ons to 2 before I board a plane (this duffel and a small suitcase). I never have to check luggage!

I really like this bag, I was limited to 33lbs in what I could carry for an extended international trip with multiple flights, airports and baggage carousels/handlers. I did not want to take my regular large, hiking backpack that has a frame. The 60L size worked well. This bag was durable with no damage and easy to carry around the airport, whether with the backpack straps or as a large duffle. The red color was easy to spot at baggage claim. I like that it re-folds for storage at home.

I lived out of this bag for eight weeks and Costa Rica zippers held up. The durability of the materials used was top notch will definitely buy another bag from this company. Again, excellent bag to travel with.
