I used this waterproofer on several pair of brand new Puma Suede sneakers. I wanted to waterproof and stain proof them before I wore them. I took them outside and sprayed them like the instructions on the can say. After leaving them outside to dry, I brought the shoes inside and tested all of them with some water on the suede. The water just beaded right off the shoes quickly and like magic.The suede did not darken or lighten on my Pumas. I made sure to spray the shoes like the instructions to ensure I didn't ruin the suede. I did not over saturate, and also made sure I sprayed far enough away from the shoe.I recommend this Saphir Invulner, and I have ordered two more cans for the rest of my shoes. I wish it was not so expensive though. $31.95 per can is steep.

I purchased this SAPHIR Super Invulner and applied it on several fine leather shoes including silk. I have half a can left after applying the product to 3 pairs of shoes. *disclosure, all leather had been treated with SAPHIR mink conditioner crème before the application*Application steps: As directed I went to a ventilated area to apply the spray (I did this in my open garage and wore a mask). On the first couple pairs I applied the spray at a length of 12 inches away and had no issues. I did cover any embellishment with clear tape & stuffed the insides with tissue paper prior to spraying. I followed the directions and waited 30min between each layer. I applied 2 layers of the protectant to the calf leather shoes in the pictures attached. This product didn’t change the feel or look of the shoes at all!Moreover, I purchased this protectant due to claims of clear application, durability, and safe use on fragile textiles. So far all claims are TRUE, as I was able to apply 3 coats to my silk shoes as well, with no residue marks left behind (see attached photo). Overall I believe this product is worth the money to apply to luxury goods. I’m so pleased with its ability to be applied to delicate textiles that I will be applying this on handbag handles as well.Recommendations:If you apply this product and notice any residue or marks you are applying the product to close. However, don’t fret! If you have done this misstep on leather you can take a soft chamois cloth and gently wipe the residue away before applying other layers. I would highly encourage if you’re applying this product on any delicate textiles (such as suede or silk) apply it from the recommended 12 in or greater away. This is because you may not be able to buff/wipe away any marks from user error.

The media could not be loaded. So I read a ton of reviews and online articles before purchasing the right water and stain protector for suede. I purchased some more expensive sneakers and really wanted to take care of them but was so nervous it was make them smell or discolor the suede or even worse, do both of those things and still just not work at all. After reading numerous reviews I came across this product and saw one or two other reviews talking about suede and how the color didn’t change. Received the product today and immediately opened it up and sprayed a test spot on a cheaper pair of sneakers - magic, the color didn’t change at all but the smell was super strong. So I took my sneakers outside, sprayed two pairs down and tried to get a good base coat. Left them for 30 minutes outside then brought them back in. No smell at all after 30 minutes. Pleasantly surprised and happy! Was nervous the strong smell would stay but it didn’t at all! Finally, did the water test, and as you can see in the video it just bounces right off the suede toe and does nothing to the shoe. I was so excited and definitely happy with my purchase. Can say, this worked wonders on my high end shoes that I was super nervous to use it on but wanted to protect! This stuff is gold and I will certainly be using it on more of my personal items. I have a suede bag I think it’ll protect amazingly! So excited

Works well and most importantly, does not stain or change the color of the leather.

There's a lot of cachet associated with the Saphir name, and although their products are good, they're not necessarily the best for every purpose, and this is one such example. This waterproofing spray is not long-lasting, and has to be renewed quite often - every few wears. It's useful for items that are ordinarily exposed to dry environments and may need to be conditioned frequently, but for items that might only need occasional conditioning, the need to frequently reapply the Super Invulner is not only a lot of extra work, but a lot of extra expense, too.I use this for one pair of designer suede shoes that I rarely wear, but for the suede items I wear more often, it would be an unnecessary extravagance, so I use another name brand product that does a better job and lasts much longer. Again, this is not a bad product; just know that when you buy Saphir, you're paying for the name and necessarily the performance.

Love this spray! I’ve tried out several and this is by far the best quality spray for leather and even sneakers. Follow directions and it’s easy to apply. Make sure you do it outside though as it suggests, because the smell is strong.

I tried this product on a pair of brand new,never worn Allen Edmonds suede shoes in their denim color.As a test I only did one shoe at a time.In the picture the left shoe is untreated and the right shoe is 24 hours after being treated.You can see the right shoe did darken about one shade.Many of the products I researched claimed no color change but I was doubtful on this very light blue suede so this very slight darkening was not totally unexpected and I think I can live with it.This was my first experience using this so stain protection remains to be seen.

Fantastic product. Easy to use. Has kept my Vince suede fashion sneakers looking fantastic.
