30 Years of National Geographic Specials

We owned this in VHS years ago. It was my son's favorite. At 20 years old now, he mentioned how he wished we still had it. So of course that was Mom's que to start the hunt.Found it right away on Amazon. We watched it together when he came home a couple of weeks ago from college. It was just as we remembered. He took it with him when he went back to school. So for me...this DVD was PRICELESS!

This is a 95 minute romp thru 30 years of SPECIALS (a little piece of each program) with very interesting insight into the work of the photographers and the worlds they enter to produce the beauty, grace and engaging forces that NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC has produced since 1965. GORGEOUS. ALARMING. PENETRATING. AWESOME. HEARTFELT. A FEAST FOR THE EYES. A GLORIOUS view into the natural world and our part in it.

Beautiful photography, but as the title implies it only gave short reviews of each area....hard too get too interested in contents... but really enjoyed the photography

Our favorite video in my classroom. My students ask for this video anytime they get free time -- my students from previous years will come back and ask to watch. Love that some of the material I remember when I was growing up -- never gets old.

this is good, but a little dated. good pictures, good story line... about 30 minutes in total ... good for kids.

This contains the gems of all Nat. Geo. programs from the past three decades. This was the first show that aired on primetime NBC in 1991, It is still the highest rating for a documentary in the history of NBC television.It's amazing.

Disappointing. Too short & incomplete scenes with no complete subjects or episodes. 😐jlp

I bought this video because it had a segment I wanted to use in my classroom. The students and I LOVE the video. It really gives you a "peak" into the NG series and videos.
