It defines and gives the curls amazing shine. It doesn't make your curls hard it leaves them soft. The product is quite thick and creamy. The hair stays moisturize for long. And it's a great product i have brought it multiple times now because I love the way it makes my hair feel.

This is my go-to hair smoothie for curly hair. I have type 3c-4a hair and this deeply moisturizes and defines my hair. This is the main product that helps hold my curls throughout the week.

I really was hoping that this product would work better with my curl pattern but it didn't work as well as I had hoped. It seemed to make my hair frizzier that usual but I really liked the smell. I use the regular As I Am products and my hair responds better to the regular products.

Smells great! Very moisturizing, makes hair soft!

I was confused at first what this product was intended for so I had to do some trial and error and hit it out the ballpark the first try! I use a lot of As i Am products but what I like about their line is they work well with other product lines as well. So I washed my hair with a purple shampoo... my hair is natural but bleached almost white. I then used Shea Moisture Hair Masque and left that on for 10 minutes while I was in the shower. After, I put in As I Am leave in conditioner and then this smoothie. And with this, a little goes a long way. For soft defined curls that would last me a couple days I could've stopped here, but I also put a bit of Mizani gel on top of this. When it dries the hair is a little crunchy, but you can break up the crunchiness and get soft defined curls that last me all week! Mind you, I don't sleep with a bonnet or anything on my head, just satin pillow cases. The most i ever have to do to refresh my hair is use some of the As I Am Jamaican oil water and the frizz is gone and the curls are popping! What the smoothie does is define the curls all the way to the scalp and helps give that definition throughout until your next was day. A little spritz really reactivates it all over again!

At fist I was a bit skeptical because it felt dry, it wasn’t greasy as I’m used to but it’s actually better because my hair is sooooo soft, moisturized, and it doesn’t get into my face

The product smells great but left my hair feeling stiff and straw like. I’m looking for soft, bouncy, defined curls and this did not deliver that. I tried it twice and just did not like the way it made my hair feel. Sticky, stiff, and frizzy.
