45 minute install for me, but 15 minutes was for repeat trips to the tool shed to grab this or that, due to mistakes I made. The wood boiler is set to 165 Fahrenheit, but can climb to 180 on a warm day. Max temp out of the faucets after prolonged use = 120.4 Fahrenheit. (I did mess with the factory setting)Turn water off. Drain the lines. Cut the hot line, cut the cold line. Added an elbow an short piece of pex to the hot. Added a ‘T’ , two pieces of pex, and a shutoff valve to the cold. Crimped the connections and voila…Turn the water back on test for leaks and functionality.(Note: I did replace one of the new pieces of pex due to length and misalignment issues, but that was on me.

I used this in a Moble Grooming Van. Had trouble adjusting my water heater heat exchanger temperature. Once I got this heat guard it worked great just let the truck heat the water up through the motor, and turn the hot and cold on ,And one temperature comes out, worked great.

Just installed. Have water heater set to 140f and the mixing valve set to 120f. Works as expected.I used to have water heater set to 125f but ran out of water too often. Hopefully with this mixing valve I gain more capacity.

To increase the amount of hot water available from the heat pump water heater I installed I wanted to raise the tank temperature greatly and use this mixing valve to deliver a safe temperature of hot water to the fixtures.I also have a hot water recirculation system that employs thermostatic valves at the furthest use points with a pump at the water heater.Unfortunately this setup prevents the mixer valve from having enough flow to operate correctly, so I now have to wait (and waste) for hot water to reach the fixtures.There’s nothing wrong with the mixer valve, but it doesn’t give me the desired results. I’ll be removing it and lowering my tank temperature back to safer levels. Too bad.

I bought this mixing valve so I could run a higher temperature on my water heater and not scald anyone in the house. As it turns out, there is a minimum inlet temperature, and when the water heater's temperature was too low ( like below 115F) the valve would mix in excessive cold water rather then stopping all cold water. The end result was that even though the water heater at warm water, it would result in a cold shower... Had to remove this. If you are buying this for a water heater think twice.Also the product was missing O-rings. It was very difficult to find replacements.
