Inexpensive but fantastic
I heard a recommendation from a friend for another product, but searched for similar products and found a small home grown business at half the price. I want to support a small business owner. Product works great, leaving a fantastic polished finish.

Easy to apply, excellent results
I’ve used this product on about 5-6 bowls over the last couple weeks. It’s easy to apply and the results are exceptional. I have used it on multiple hardwoods and I really like the gloss when you buff it out. And it’s food grade so no concerns on safety. I will be buying some of their other products as well as more True Grit for future projects.

Fabulous product and great customer service.
Great customer service. I have used Yorkshire Grit and Ack’s turning abrasive and found this product to be a bit different than both. They both are a creamy abrasive where Pita’s is a paste wax and took a little bit to get used to. Once I figured out the speeds at which to rub it in I have found it very effective. At first I was convinced this product was only for small projects, but after trying a couple of larger projects found that a little goes a long way. It is easier to use on small projects that can be spun at higher speeds however with a little time and effort it give remarkable results on large items as well. I will be adding this to my finishing repertoire.

Works great
I used this on the exterior of a badly sun-damaged door just to see what it would do before I use it on my fine furniture. It is AMAZING. With just a little bit of wax and a micro-fiber cloth, the faded color was revived and the surface was smoother. The door requires light sanding, possibly some stain and definitely polyurethane as it gets lots of morning sun. It would take quite a lot of work and product to restore the door using this paste but could be done--just not practical. But, the product passed the test. I will confidently use it on my antique mahogany fruit/salad bowl without fear of the bowl being damaged. Since the product is made from ONLY walnuts, I am not concerned that the bowl will be toxic when I place my bananas and apples in it again.

Woodworkers rubbing compound with grit
I was very impressed with this product. The microfine grit does a great job and smoothing out any sand markings. The paste itself does not discolor any of the woods I have applied to.It will remain on Buy again list

Good overall
This produce provides a very nice shine prior to finishing. The only problem I have is that it is dark green in the can. It has left some dark stains on light woods in end grain that I could not even sand out. That was on some problem maple, so hopefully it won't be a problem normally. Very price competitive with other sanding pastes.Update- I've been using another brand with good effect. However, I made some small bowls from redbud tree wood and decided to try the True Grit on these since they are darker wood. It did a great job leaving a smooth surface and pleasing pop of the grain. It is quite thick and harder to apply than the other product, but came off well with buffing. I finished one with poly, and the other with Danish oil. Both look great!
