Good solid build, but it uses XM firmware
The device had a pretty solid build quality, it's pretty good for PtP and PtMP (which is what I'm using with an omni-directional antenna). The only issue I found was that the device is using the older architecture, which uses the older XM firmware. Maybe I just got an older version by accident or something, but the latest models use the XW firmware (and a different architecture). If you don't mind potentially getting the older version, this is a pretty good choice.

High Powered Unit, Just be Careful with Setup
Attached to an Omni AirMAX 10db antenna to connect to 2 NanoStation M5's at a golf course. One is about 200 yards from the Rocket and the other is more than 300 yards. Both have trees blocking clear view to the Rocket, but they still maintains a strong connection. This configuration has been in place for about a month now and not one issue with any dropped or weak signals.Setup isn't as simple as the Unifi products, but for the most part, there are only a few settings you need to change. Be careful thinking that more power is better. Dial the signal down if you aren't trying to blast it a mile from the base. One nice thing is it will recognize what antenna you connect and will auto configure most of that for you. It is pretty sensitive and signal strength tuning is important. Ii also couldn't get the Nanostations to see it until I assigned a frequency and they then saw it immediately. They wouldn't see it if they were set to automatic.Overall, this is a solid unit. It's omnidirectional with the antenna, so that fixed issues I had before with point to point using just the Nanostations It also allows multiple connections, so that was a plus as well.

Worked like a charm
The Rocket M Series is incredible, super easy to use, I have it paired with a 24" dish, and it makes a 5 mile line of sight shot without blinking twice. I would highly recommend RFArmor for any dishes, makes a night and day difference with these and they are made to fit ubuquiti dishes.

I bought one for long range video streaming from a Raspberry Pi. It was able to connect to the Pi just fine, but kicked the client every time I started the stream. Stream worked fine on my home network, so it seems to be an issue with the Rocket, not my Pi setup.

Amazing value for what it offers
Great wireless range, excellent feature set. For the price unbeatable. And it includes a built in spectrum analyser; very useful for picking channels that aren't cluttered. I'll give channel hopping a go later, but have been told it can restrict the number of channels which M5 can choose from

these units go into COUNTERFEIT mode and are useless once they go into that mode
