This could have been the perfect product for me, if only
UPDATE: though this product is way too salty still, I extend it by putting miracle noodles and other things that have zero salt content to make the dish more substantial and less salty. With this product being organic and having good flavor except for it being too salty, this product I have been repurchasing. Original review: This could have been the perfect product for me, if only it weren't perhaps the saltiest thing I have ever had. It could be really good, but think of a salty broth with a few chickpeas and vegetables in it. Way too scant on the substance. It left me hungry yet thirsty due to the salt. I'm trying to figure out why companies haven't figured out that a customer adding salt Itheir own is one of the easiest things anyone can do, even if traveling. But it is impossible to take salt out of a product. The CEO of a food company who figures this one out will be a business genius Especially for products that have a healthy slant. This is an organic product that has great ingredients. You're not appealing to people who eat frito-lays all day.

Delicious, but way too much sodium
These meal pouches are delicious and easy to make. They would be a regular in my house, but for one major issue: the sodium content is HIGH. It says that a serving is 1/2 pouch, but most people will eat the full pouch in a meal - and we're talking 900-1,100mg of sodium per pouch. Even for very healthy people, that is a lot of sodium to be taking in one meal. If they reduce the sodium, I will definitely be adding it to my Subscribe & Save.

Finally a better choice of Indian Heat & Eat besides Tasty Bite
Finally a better choice of Indian Heat & Eat besides Tasty Bite, which are terrible.I've tried my share of Microwavable/Heat & Eat Indian Meals and so far Khazana is my favorite. I've tried Tasty Bites found all over Amazon, it appears to be the largest & only choice here and was severely disappointed. Either the dishes were so oily I felt gross afterwards or over-spiced or just plain mush. Khazana's flavors and ingredients are cleaner and healthier, you can actually taste the difference. I'm glad the Khazana brand showed up on Amazon, as there weren't many healthy & tasty "fast food" Indian options before. It's basically the convenience of Microwave food but as healthy as a properly cooked meal. It's hard to avoid Microwave Food with a busy life but it doesn't have to be so terrible for you!The pouches are great because you can eat directly from them, so it's perfect as car/camping/beach food. You can even lay the pouch out in the sun for 20 minutes and have a warm/hot meal with no heat source, or drop into boiling water or place it near a fire. So many ways to heat it and then be able to eat directly from the pouch makes these a 4x4 healthy meal, good to go anywhere. They're even great at room temperature, try eating a Tasty Bite meal when it's cold & you'll really know how terrible they are. One of my simplest/tastiest late night go to meals is just some good wholewheat bread, a spoon and a pouch of Khazana - yum! Don't even have to clean up.

This is not an entree - it is a thin, salty soup!
I purchased a six-pack of the Yellow Lentils with Chickpeas Curry. I like Indian cooking and expect a Curry to be a satisfying, hearty entree. The three packs I opened were watery and I found from three to five chickpeas in each - not even a satisfactory soup! I added a half cup of canned no-salt-added chickpeas and it still seemed thin. A chopped turkey meatball didn't help much either. The spices are good, but are overwhelmed by the excessive salt. I tried to use this product, but because of my low-salt diet, ended up tossing the last three packages in the trash.

Quick and delicious - with coconut-free options!
Coconut-free gluten-free soy-free vegan options for a quick meal are a bit thin on the ground. Both their yellow lentil and red lentil flavors omit the coconut milk found in many others and don't have sketchy derivatives either. They are flavorful and delicious. I often stir in some spinach for extra veggies. For the sake of my salt intake, it would probably be better to follow the serving size recommendation and just have half of one over something unsalted. But I usually just eat whole packet. Quick, easy, delicious, organic and miraculously dodging a whole slew of allergens.Yellow is pretty mild. Red has a little more kick but is by no means "spicy". I love them both.

Pretty good but pricy for the portion size.
Decided to do vegetarian for a couple weeks to see if my cholesterol improves and saw these options as I am not really good at cooking on my own yet. The taste is pretty decent but the spice level is definitely mild. You could add some red pepper if you want more spice. I am more a medium spice person, so I may do that on my next batch. Salt is a bit heavy as I would rather need to add a bit than have it right at the top of my desired salt level. The portion size is basically one serving. At $5 per pack, I was hoping for a larger serving size plus I can go the the Indian restaurant down the road for full service lunch for $8, so the benefit is a bit lacking. 4 stars for taste and convenience but subtracting a star due to price per portion.

Great but a bit pricey
Always looking for easy-to-make/no-work vegan food, and these are super tasty and easy to cook (1 minute in the microwave). Toss them with some microwave rice, and you have a tasty, nutritious, and filling meal. They are just a bit too expensive IMHO.

Wonderful taste and totally vegan!
I have recently moved into a full service retirement community. So far I have not encountered any of my fellow vegans in the dining room but I was told by my sales consultant at the time of my buy in, and subsequently by other residents, that there are about 60 of us with apartments in the community. The dining room offers a wonderful restaurant quality selection of about 6 different entrees every day but In the month that I have been here, there has never been more than ONE vegan selection offered, and worse yet, it’s what the Italian side of our family calls ‘pasta and gravy’. My taste buds have been in agony. These packaged Khanzana meals are just what the doctor ordered! When I can’t face another samo-samo meal in the dining room, I just get an order of brown rice and some fruit or veggie to go, and eat at the table in my own apartment instead. These dishes are so full of flavor and, for one person, half a package over rice is a full and satisfying meal. I will definitely be back for more in a month or two.

Delicious
I love that these are all vegan, they are very tasty as well. 1 pouch is 1 serving for me though ;) Working my way through the variety pack, shown here are Yellow Lentils with Chickpea Curry and Tikka Masala with Chickpea Curry.
