GIGA NAS FAT 32 / NTFS USB Network Storage Adapter Dongle for FTP Server

I purchased this device to connect a USB drive (NTFS) over my network just as the product description claims it will do.Unfortunately, upon hooking up this device with my HDD, it proceeded to trash nearly 1.5TB of data. I had several emails with the manufacturer wherein they claimed to not be able to reproduce the problem and that I was on my own. Data gone, no recourse other than warning others to NEVER use this device or anything else by MRT Communications.

i bought this device like five years ago on eBay and and it does what it claims. I hooked a 16 GB USB memory to it and it's been there since then for ocassional bit torrent downloads. BEWARE: whatever the kind of drive you hook to it, it needs to be formated with their NAS utility, it will copy propietary folders to the root directory. Once the download is set your computer doesn't even need to be on, this little device will do the download on its own! The printer server function is a little hard to set in Win XP, you have to follow the guide strictly, but once it's done it will work with virtually any kind of USB printer unlike other cheap printer servers that have a compatible model list. Unbeatable in its price range!!
