Didn't Last.
Broke after a short time of writing. Added lead, checked for jams, etc. Nothing! I really liked how it fit in my hand.

A collectors point of view.
Finally got around to taking this for a test drive. Been wanting to review this Mech for a while, but wanted to take some time and really see if Pentel successfully pulled off a 0.2mm or if I was going to uncover multiple flaws in a Mech I thought would be impossible to design. As a Mech collector, a 0.2 seems unreal, Yet here we are. First off, I will say I’m a big fan of Pentel. They are a brand that puts precision over price. But when I first saw this pencil, I wasn’t very impressed with the design at all. I just feel like I’m looking at a very cheap dollar store Mech. What it took to finally achieve that 0.2mm clutch mechanism, packed into a retractable needle design, but they couldn’t even add any type of real grip at all? I’m not upset about a plastic body in the least. I’m more disappointed in the fact that they just pushed it out the door without doing anything at all with that plastic body. There is no way you would be able to use this if your hands got even the slightest bit moist after a few hours of use. Ok, the push clutch feels strong and firm, the retractable tip seems to work ok, and it comes in some pretty cool colors, but what happened during the design process? It’s like they just didn’t finish it. I feel like they just said, “”Ok, we got it to work. Let’s just use a plain plastic body with no grip. We’ll just offer up some cool colors instead””. Believe me, I wouldn’t even care about that basic body if they would have just used some kind of corrugated or stippled grip. The grooved lines they did add are almost nonexistent. And to top things off, they used one of the weirdest shaped conical tips I have seen. I have never been a fan of conical tips, but this one is easily the worst. If you are somebody that chokes up on the tip when going in for ultra fine detail, this Mech will never let that happen. As for the mechanics of this pencil, it works great. I haven’t had any issues with lead breaking. No issues with what some are calling “Clogging”, something of which I have never had issues with in any mech pencil. Not sure what you people are doing to actually clog a mech up, but you shouldn’t be using them to pick your teeth or clean out your ears. I never have issues with lead getting clogged in my pencils. I will say that the clicker head on this Mech is way more firm than I have seen on a lot of other mechanical pencils. Balanced? Yes. Lead extrusion averages out to about 0.4 to 0.5mm per click. The clip feels strong if that’s important to you, though a futile addition to the pro list. And I would like to say that’s enough to make up for everything that this pencil missed the mark on, but I can’t. It’s a nice pencil. It works. It works with no issues. However I just feel disappointed in everything that this pencil “could have been”. I’m not giving this pencil 3 stars for how bad it is, because it isn’t a bad Mech. I’m giving it 3 stars for showing up to class without a pencil. Haha, no. I’m giving it 3 stars for everything it lacks. Pentel is always allowed to show up with a light weight pencil, because they always showed up with a mech that would always feel good in the hand, had as much precision as a surgeon, and came with a price tag that made all other brand name Mechs look shameful. I’m sorry to say, this Mech seems more like Pentel went home early, and Bic snuck into the factory to finish up the body work for this pencil. Haha would I suggest this pencil to others? That depends. I would suggest it to other Mech collectors just to test it out. But “no” to somebody just wanting a great Pencil to use. I’m not sorry I bought it. I’m sorry I had to leave this review for Pentel. Like telling your friend that you hate their new hair cut.

Fragile
The lead is SUPER FRAGILE! If you want lead this small, buy a lot extra. It barely takes any pressure for the lead to break. Other than that, it’s cute and the writing/drawing is nice!
