I was looking for a safe place to store some documents and such, and this was perfect. The lock is very easy to use, and it is very sturdy. This is small and fits perfectly where I was planning. I feel safe having things in here, and to make it better, the value was amazing for the cost.

Great storage box and is a lot heavier than I expected. It seems very well constructed of heavy duty plastic and will hold several items. I originally bought to keep passports, birth certificates and other important papers in and keep them safe. The handle on the storage box makes it easy to just grab it and go in an emergency. The lock is adequate for the money and size. I hope to never find out about it being fireproof but trust the company name. Works great for us.

This fire safe is robust and easy to use. I take it on faith that it actually has the stated fire rating because happily, we have not had a fire. Cautionary Note: Because of the insulation, the usable interior of this box may less than you 'imagine' and it is unexpectedly heavy. However, the heft gives me some confidence that it actually will meet it's stated fire rating.

This is the second safe of this model we've bought and although we've never had a fire or flood, the safe appears to be very solid and sturdy. It's convenient to store underneath a bed and has a secure key locking mechanism. The company guarantees the safe and it's design includes a feature that seals the safe when exposed to fire. As a result, it can only be opened by prying it open to break the seal, thereby making it unusable for further use. The company will replace it for free in these circumstances. The second safe was needed, if you're interested, because the first one was too full to hold more documents.

The unit is very heavy, which is a plus. Hopefully that indicates good fire protection.The round keys work well in the lock.The handle is flexible and i am unwilling to trust it since it seems like it will give out, and the unit is empty. Fortunately, i do not plan to move it often, and the handle will help to sling it out a window if needed...hope the ratchet strap keeps it closed upon impact.
