I use these brushes for face painting, so this may or may not apply for you.... The brush set is very pretty, and came on time and in good condition. I appreciated also the email I got from CubeCraft about care of the brushes too. The set works well for face painting, but the long handles make it awkward at times to work around faces and arms - the handles are about 12 in long. I love the fan brush, the chisel and filbert brushes, and the large round brush. The small round brushes leave something to be desired though - and they are the ones face painters use most. The #3 and #0 brushes' bristles separate sometimes (like when doing circles or curls & spirals) and leave stray marks which is frustrating. Of the 4 small round brushes in the set, there is only 1 that is dependable.All in all, a good set for the money and in a handy case. I will probably not use the small round brushes anymore, though, and buy some more suited to face painting specifically.

I am a beginner painter. It took me using some inferior brushes recently to truly appreciate the quality of these. These brushes are very well made and precise. I wish Amazon carried smaller sized brushes by CubeCraft or a manufacturer or similar quality. Despite this, the set comes with a reasonable variety of sizes, the smallest being 3/0 with a long tip (I imagine to maintain the quality of the tip, as shorter, fine tips seem more likely to fray). One reviewer wrote something like, "treat yourself to a good quality set of brushes and you won't be sorry". I completely agree. When it comes to paint brushes, you certainly get what you pay for. If you take good care of these, they will bring you joy for a long time. A note to beginners: high quality new brushes (such as these) arrive with stiff bristles. They are preserved with some sort of resin. To activate the brush for the first time, simply dip the brush in water and gently massage the fibers until they loosen up. Consult the web for tips on cleaning your brushes depending on what type of medium you use. Enjoy these excellent brushes!

I am pleased with the CubeCraft Art Brushes. They arrived in a nice container that folds up for storage. The brushes seem to be good quality. I haven't owned many paint brushes in the past but these are the best ones thus far. There are a good variety of brushes in different sizes. The brushes clean easily, at least with the acrylics I'm using. As to performance and durability, I can't judge that very well yet as I have only used them a few times. I would like them better if the handles weren't quite so long but I'm sure that was listed in the specs and I just didn't pay close enough attention so I can't ding them for that. Overall 4 stars, as 5 stars is reserved for those products that are above and beyond. I should also mention that I bought them at a sale price, I'm not sure I would be as pleased if I had paid full retail.

I bought these to use with my acrylics and they are wonderful. The handles are long, roughly a forearms length. The bristles are soft, much softer than what I am used to for synthetic bristles. However this was not a bad thing and showed strokes much like my other brushes though mixing on the canvas was slightly more similar to rabbit hair bristles than I was expecting though they are in no way comparable.I used the brushes to paint a large 3'x4' painting on canvas and they held their form well the whole time. The put up well to slight abuse and did not take injury from being left wet overnight. Most importantly, not a single bristle fell out! This was my main concern when buying these brushes. I was also pleased that there were several different brush styles included in the purchase. The case is quite pleasing and serves as a nice carry case and drying stand.

Just had a chance to use my new brushes yesterday and worked on to fabric projects. I was a little skeptical when I saw the size of some of the brushes because I really wasn't sure if they would be large or small sizes. It's a nice assortment of different sizes. They worked really well with my acrylic paint and cleaned up nicely. I haven't used all of them yet so I can't tell how responsive the fan brush will be. Usually I use natural bristle fan brushes. I would have given a 5 star, but since this is my first use, I gave a 4 star. A good quality set for the price.

These brushes are everything I wanted them to be. I had a set from when I had just started watercoloring and the paint from the brush handles were chipping off and landing in my work! I bought some gouache along with these because I was ready to try a new medium. So I will update this review with better information when I use them.Aesthetics: I work really close to my paper, so the extra long handles may be an issue, but the quality of the brushes are amazing. Packaging was thoughtful and the brushes come with a butterfly case to keep them safe. I plucked at the tips of each brush and only one fiber slipped out that was loose in all 15 brushes. The bristles are soft and smooth to the touch and I just can't wait to put them to use.

This is a gift so I have not yet used these brushes. First appearance is quite impressive with the brush case being much larger than expected. It runs roughly 15" long and the brushes inside are roughly 12", again much longer than anticipated. They all appear to be well finished and solid, with a great selection of brush tips. A few had some wild hairs but with a bit or warm water, they were returned to their proper shape. The two that I handled felt soft and I expect very easy to work with. I will update this review when I have had the opportunity to actually use them. Thus far, they look like a great set of brushes.

I bought this brush set after doing vigorous research online, and lets face it, theres a lot to choose from! However, I couldnt be happier with my choice. The brushes arrived very quickly after ordering. They came securely wrapped with no damage to the package. The black, simple case that holds the brushes is brilliant quality and zips open. All brushes inside are very good quality and again are sleek and simple. For the price, I wasnt expecting the quality to be of the standard it was. The brushes remind me of some I have seen in craft shops with triple the price tag, and if your a student, like myself, you want good quality brushes that allow you do a range of styles as an artist, but also carry a 'easy on the bank balance' price tag. The craftamo brushes arent gimmicky in any way. Handles are sturdy and bristles range perfectly from soft to hard depending on the job of the brush. Ive left it a few weeks before reveiwing to see whether the bristles stay in place and do not pull out in my work, a very annoying trait that I've found with a lot of other brushes I've bought in the past, but nope! No annoying strays! The brushes are also light and well balanced , not heavy in the hand when doing watercolours. I like them so much, I've ordered the other set craftamo supply, the fine detail brushes! All in all, I cant recommend enough. If your a student or free lance artist or even someone who enjoys art as a hobby, these brushes will do the job that more expensive brushes claim to do.

Quality brushes, I love them, recently took up art and painting again and needed to replace my old brushes, I brought a "great value and quality" (as advertised) set of brushes that were a poorly made wast of money and did me no justice, this time I shopped around and came across this set of brushes and can honestly say they are the best quality brushes I've owned and weren't stupidly priced and they arrived fast. I was surprised at the quality of not just the brushes but the actual case they come in, i was expecting it to be a average thin case but it is a really well made case, very solid and strong so the brushes are well protected and a lot bigger than I was expecting, the brushes are truly beautiful, they are nice and long, very light but well balanced, and the bristles are nicely formed and very soft too (my wife wants to pinch them for make-up brushes). I'm really enjoying these brushes, I paint acrylics and I've put some through they're paces and found no loose bristles they clean out nicely and keep they're shape, really impressed. Now I just need some smaller brushes so I might just treat myself to their fine detail set, would be rude not to, ; )Great quality product craftamo, off to paint now, BOB.

These brushes have exceeded my expectations - I was recommended to try Craftamo by a friend who couldn’t sing their praises enough, she seemed absolutely thrilled with her new set of Art Brushes, which really convinced me to give these a try.I’m the type of artist who usually pays £10 - £15 per brush, so firstly, Craftamo, what a bargain!You get 15 quality brushes in a set, nicely presented in their own carry case.
