683051 Paw Thaw Ice Melt for Pets, 25-Pound Bag

This is NOT pet safe. We have 5 rescue dogs. After 1 application, ALL 5 dogs were extremely immobilized by this stuff. They recovered quickly and I was able to wash enough of this stuff off of our walks that they had no additional problems, but I was extremely disappointed with this product.I could see if one of our dogs exhibited a sensitivity to the product, but all 5 is not a coincidence. Either this company did not test this product sufficiently or they are simply making false claims.

Very upset about this product. Our Dane walked on this product and we felt that it was safe for our animal as we read everything about this product prior to purchasing it....boy were we mistaken. We can't be absolutely certain, but this is the first time we've used this product and our dog is 9 years old and all of a sudden after using it, his feet are dried out, cracked and bleeding, leaving him nearly unable to walk. Use your own discretion, but I'll never buy this again.

If I could give this less than 1 star I would.The Blue Dye is AWFULthere is no need for the dye, it tracks in the house, in the cars just freaking everywhere and it stains! UGHWill never order this again.

I am so pleased I can get this sidewalk salt that is pet and child safe at a reasonable price. My neighborhood is a popular place for walking and pet walkers year-round. If I catch it as the snow is beginning I don't need to use much salt and shoveling is much easier on my 68-year-old knees. This helps me keep up with my householder responsibilities.

I love this product. I never new thatIce melt had a pet friendly product.It works very well. Its costly but doesWhat it's suppose to do. Delivered onschedule and just purchased one weekago have used several times. I dont havetoo worry about harming my pet or others.Thank You,Robin E.

It works ok. Had to put quite a bit down to get it to work well. The crystals are huge which is meh. The part though I particularly dislike is that everywhere you toss this stuff turns neon blue. Neon blue sidewalks, Neon blue driveway. Neon blue steps. As far as the dogs go? They don't seem to be complaining, so I guess that's a plus.

We have a Maltese, a Yorkie mix, and two Australian Shepherds. We've used this product for 5+ years and have never experienced any irritation to the dogs' paws, even our tiny dogs, who have pretty delicate feet. I prefer this product to many others, as some other brands use little round balls of salt, which roll down our sloping yard and don't stay where you scatter them. The Paw Thaw ice melt is made up of crystals, not little balls, and the crystals stay where they're scattered very well. Ice melts quickly and well. Highly recommend this product!

I poured this product on the snow and 1 inch thick ice And after maybe an hour and a half it was melted into a soft slush. I then shoveled the walk so that it was clean. The blue coloring disappeared with the melting of the ice and snow. The product is what it says it will. And the best part of all, I bought this on Amazon through Petco sellers and they had it shipped from my local store and I had it within 24 hours! Totally awesome!
