Suburban 520900 Replacement Electric Water Heater Element Kit

My electric heating element was tripping the breaker in my RV. I ordered this replacement. It's a bit longer, but otherwise an exact match. You need a 1.5" thinwall socket to get the old one out. I used an air driven impact wrench because the ability to get the socket on is limited by the thin nature of the heating element head. It wants to pop off. But the impact tool on a low setting can be aligned perfectly and since the tool does the work, all you need to do is hold it straight and level. 20 seconds later the old one is out. I cleaned up the hole, put the new one in, tightened it with a hand wrench, and put things back together, filled the hot water tank, and tested it out. Works perfect. No leaks or issues. Water was plenty hot. Draws about 1200W according to my kill-a-watt. Breaker held fine for the test, so I think it's good to go.

My RV water heater electric side died and the element needed to be replaced. This was a perfect replacement and was just a matter of removal of old and installation of new. Zip-Zop! Done! It works well and I am pleased. Buy this one!

I didn't realize that my electric hot water element needed to be changed. A fellow RV'er told me. I ordered this item, easy to install, and instead of my hot water taking an hour to heat up, it heats up FAST! Will replace my element in timely manners from now on. I recommend this item.

It fits perfectly and works perfectly

Great product, fits as advertised and has lasted a hard summer and snow bird winter in Florida.

Product fine, good quality. However, check on off switch first. Now, get a good socket long ratchet handle and a first- aid kit. Toss that tool they sell to remove heater core as far as you can, it’s junk against a camper. I have the scars to prove that fact. Go to video on YouTube for help. I am a older female and did change the core only to still have no hot water. The problem was the switch, a one minute fix, no blood or bad words. Water has never heated better with both new. Happy camping.

Perfect fit and easy to install

The new, used RV had no hot water running on electric. We pulled the element and replaced with this product. Worked as expected. Note: would recommend you buy the extended socket to remove your old element and properly install & torque this new element - well worth the time you'll save.

Works great

Water heaters are all basically the same. The immersion element on mine destroyed itself, after I was stupid! I turned it on, when it was drained. Anyhoo, this came well packaged and ready to go, gasket too.There is a special box wrench for fitting over the elements. They are all the same hex size. Buy the wrench, it will work on most immersion heaters. My element was difficult to remove and the wrench was the answer!Filled the heater, no leak and then, holding my breath, I turned it on. Success!Product worked well!

Doesn’t seem to heat the tank as quickly as the old heater did but keeps it hot
