Warhammer 40k: Militarum Tempestus Taurox Prime

It is so hard to find decent priced Warhammer items. My husband loves Warhammer 40K so whenever I find something for a good price I jump on it. The shipping was fast, and the product was as described!

The shipment was quick and everything was there. I have already painted and put this together. Can't wait to see it in a Warhammer 40k game.

This is a beefy, solid vehicle for your tabletop wars. Goes together well and is easy to paint. The sad part is I only ordered one! I gotta fix that!

Well rendered albeit exorbitantly priced 40K model kit. I ordered some resin wheels from Australia to replace the tracks which made the model more realistically suspended.

Admittedly I used to hate the shape of the Taurox (or the Imperial Short Bus as it is known) and for the last three years I've absolutely loathed this vehicle. Recently, however, after digging out my Chem Guard I've been looking for an alternative transport to go with my 4 slightly older chimeras and the Taurox fits the bill perfectly.Compared to a chimera it's more expensive to buy but cheaper in game points cost, with weaker armour, no lasgun arrays, but is a fast vehicle, giving the guard an alternative to using Valkyries and chimeras.What I like most about the kit is the interior details and the fact that there are less mould lines to clean off than your average chimera. There is some scope for customisation and I managed to drill and pin the back saloon style doors with a paper clip. In game terms it offers a Fast vehicle, to allow your forces to advance on objectives slightly faster.Some manufacturers of 3rd party bits (Victoria miniatures and Zinge industries) offer extra wheels to replace the 4 square treads underneath the vehicle, but in my opinion if you want a wheeled vehicle then look for the Genestealer Cult Goliath truck. Also if you're looking for offers on either the chimera or the taurox, it might be worthwhile checking the 'Start Collecting Militarum Tempestus' box or the 'Armoured Claw' for some savings combined with some troops.
