Pros: Pockets, Padding, Fit, Looks, Comfort, Affordability.Cons: Squat. Zip. Nada. (even Nada III)Recommendation: They are great shorts. The drawstring comes with a stopper to make the fit easy. Just tie a bow for extra security. The pocket zippers are angled which I didn't appreciate until I was sitting down and got something out of my pocket. Even better at the trail head. The padding takes some of the oogie out of the saddle. They wash just fine and look great. Lots of freedom to move.

I used these shorts for this year's Ride to Montauk. I rode the 73-mile course, and these shorts were great. They were cool and comfortable, and did the job of protecting my saddle area from chafing. The ride took me over 6 hours, and at that point, depending on how often you bike, I'd say there's a pretty good chance of some soreness down there. I think the shorts (plus some Chamois Butt'r, applied liberally before the ride) mitigated any chafing, so even though I did have some soreness the next day, I think that was just from the pressure of the saddle, and not from actual damage to the skin, so I consider the shorts to have done their job.Aside from function, I like the way the shorts looked and fit, though I did have to return the XL pair I bought based on the sizing chart, and get the L. (I'm 6', 210lbs, and usually wear a 34-36 waist in regular pants.) The pockets are zippered, and though there's sort of small, there's enough space for a cellphone and wallet, which I think makes sense if you don't want to be to loaded up with stuff on your bike rides. Definitely a good alternative to the sexy spandex bike kit, if you want to be a little bit more low-key.

These biking shorts had good reviews, so I ordered them. After using them three times, and washing them three times, I will order another pair. They fit as expected. I wear 36 inch (waist) pants, normally wear large biking shorts, so I order X-large, and they fit perfect, with room to spare, but not too much. They are well made, and the stitching looks solid. The two zippered pockets work fine, and I like the waist cord and tightening device. These shorts have an internal pad, which seems a little awkward when walking, but helps a little when riding. I'm not use to a pad. And they look nice (according to my better half).

I've purchased two of these shorts in the past year. I find that once you get the right size they fit well. The first pair I purchased I had to cut out the included padding as it was a bit uncomfortable and did not really sit in the right areas. I I cut it out and wore my own liner under the shorts which was fine. I've since lost some weight and had to buy another pair of shorts and they fit much better. The liner sits where it should, but I find the padding in the liner to be a bit stiff or flat? Maybe just not soft enough compared to the individual liners I own. As shorts they are light and breathable, and as I've had rainy rides, I can say they dry pretty quickly. They may not be of the BEST quality material, but for the price they are pretty decent. I would buy more when needed.

I bought these shorts for road biking when I don't feel like wearing lycra. The price was right and the styling was good. The shorts fit well and the material was comfortable. The one big negative was the chamois. I doesn't fit very well and barely offers adequate padding. I don't plan to buy another pair.

I like these shorts for my more casual rides.Besides looking great they are very functional. The pockets are small but big enough for keys, cash or c/c. My IPhone fits but feels too tight as I pedal. The size is true. I had read they were cut small but did not find that the case. I needed to return the large I had purchased and trade it out for a medium.The exchange was seamless and they paid the postage. I have a 31-32 inch and the medium fits perfectly. They need to be pulled up to my waist line for the padding to seat well. That being said, there is no bunching, chaffing and lots of comfort for the none padded bottoms.

And over many years i have worn many. The exterior shorts are fine, the bicycle short line is ill fitting and poorly designed. The pad hangs low and loosely in the crotch. I could not even walk around in them once putting them on. It was like carrying a load in your pants. I could not see getting onto a bike saddle with this line slopping around in the crotch while riding. This would be sure to cause a bad case of chafe.Note of late i have been riding about 125 miles a week. I had hoped to use these not on the longer rides but some of the town rides. I can not EVER see these working. You would be better served to use a bicycle short line under a pair of you more comfortable shorts.An update on the merry-go-round from the producers of these shorts. I finally got permission to return them after much back and forth. And so, i am asked to print out a mailing label and return mail them at my cost to CHINA! I should have suspected something rotten in the deal when as i order them it was a sic=x week delivery date. Still at that time they were well review so, what the heck. Well heck is right. As noted these are a disaster of manufacture. They are completely unusable as bike shorts. if you think there is any chance of having to return them DO NOT PURCHASE THEM. It a basic scam on the part of the china manufacturer with the permission of Amazon.

These work really well for mtn biking. They stretch and fit perfectly. I have crashed on them and they didn't tear. They are easy to clean. All the pockets are great, but don't fit anything of any size. The little ties that come on the pockets come off really easy and get lost which makes opening the pockets difficult. These do breath well and I bought a second pair.

I've had mine for years and they're my favorite shorts. Loose fit, well padded, they don't cram your junk, and they have usable pockets (which are not common on bike shorts). They are a great design and I highly recommend them.
