Dry and Cushiony
I first ordered these socks two years ago. Those two-year old socks are now developing holes and some are finding their way into the trash, so I ordered more of the same. The elastic holds up well (I keep them out of the dryer). They are very cushiony and dry, which works for me year-round. They have a very slight itch, but buying four pairs for what less than two pairs of Smart-Wool costs make it well worth it in my opinion. I have had many bad experiences looking for affordable socks not made of cotton (yuck). Other socks I've tried get holes more easily and the elastic doesn't last or work properly in the first place. I'm quite happy with the GKX Merino Wool socks.

Comfortable, but not thick
These socks are very comfortable. Although I feel they are not very thick, they do keep your feet warm, except for in extremely cold temperatures.

Amazing socks!!
I purchased these for a friend of mine; these are his favourite socks and they keep his feet super warm when he works construction outside on cold days.

Winter warmth
I love these socks. The wool keeps my feet dry and warm. A great price for these socks as well.

A good, thick hiking sock for the price
A good, thick hiking sock for the price. You get 4 pairs of these for the price of one pair of Darn Tough socks. But these GKX socks are durable, thick, a soft and cushy on the sole. I've worn them on 50 and 100 mile treks through some National Parks, and my feet felt cushioned and comfy. They do pile a bit with repeated washings, but for the price, I'm really happy, and have bought several sets-of-four in recent years. My go-to, affordable hiking sock.

it’s an only an acrylic wool blend.
the sox are handsome, comfortable, and they fit well, but please don’t call them merino wool sox when they are merely an acrylic blend.mr. earl
