Powerful, Can DIY a "Don't chop the 'nem" cover :)
These are nice little powerheads. I have had no issues with them at all as so far. I thought they were going to be more like a wave maker but they move the water around quite well, lots of thrust for these things. I like the fact they can swivel around and I can point them where I want. The suction cups work nicely and the additional "push tab lock" really locks them down. I would give them 4 stars because there is nothing to decrease the rate of flow but if was that big a deal I would have bought some that did. I do however take a flimsey little plastic cup and cut a hole in the end(bottom) and place the cup over the heads so the cup kinda of covers the intake holes and reduces water flow if I have a wandering or floating anemone so it won't become diced 'nem. Works great. Not enough restriction to damper/harm the impeller/head but just enough to kick down the water movement and not suck in stuff. I have also cut thin slits in some cups when I want a little more water draw. You could mod it anyway you like, I tend to pop a small hole in the rim of the cup, fasten it to a seperate suction cup and lock it down so it won't blow off. :)

Works very well in a 55 gallon for goldfish
Does make a tiny bit of noise, and can feel the vibration in the cord

Works
Weak, but works for what I wanted. I put one in a 10 gallon. It's ok, but a little weak. Using the other for mixing salt water. Works great for that.February '24 - update - both crapped out. They had occasionally reversed directions, but I had been able to stop the propeller and it'd be fine, but suddenly neither one will work properly. Still good for the price, but you do get what you pay for.

For those who pay too much attention to bad reviews.
First off, no matter what product you buy it seems at least a few people have bad experiences. The truth is it’s inevitable that something will go wrong especially when you can buy 2 of these fans for $15But I must say I just installed one of them and it was easy.It makes no sound. It pushes water very well.It is small so it doesn’t take a lot of space in my 75 gallon tank. The suction cup is very good.So will there be defective units? I’m sure. Will a device die before you want it to? Possibly. But I have no regrets purchasing this circulation fan.It does exactly what it says it will do and hey, a 2 for 15 deal means I have a spare in case one does go out.For those thinking 1 isn’t enough for 75 gallons it all depends on how much flow you really want. This thing pushes water very well. I also have an fx6 for filtration which does move water pretty good but the fan really added that extra flow I needed. My guppies love it as they swim in front of it to get blown black and do it over again. All my fish are much more active since installing and at night they find places where the current isn’t strong so I just leave it on.Do yourself a favor, don’t fret about reviews and give it a try. It’s only $15.

Perfect product at a great price!
Great little circulator. I need a bunch of these because I have a lot of tanks and to be honest I didn’t want to spend a thousand dollars. I found these and they work great! I’ve had them for over a year now and out of 12, only one stopped working. I pulled it out and replaced it with a brand new spare. As soon as I pulled the non working one I discovered after a year the only thing that needed to be done was a quick cleaning and now it’s working perfectly again.I try to remove plants that get around the grate, but even if I don’t the pattern on the grate prevents the leaves from tangling the motor. They don’t consume very much energy, but move quite a bit of water. I recommend these for ANYONE with a fish tank. Even if you have the budget for the more expensive circulators, I’d suggest trying these first to prevent spending money on things that don’t need to be.

Update: One is almost dead, the second is acting up.
Update 1-8-2019:One is making a lot of noise and not pumping much. The second is quiet but sometimes it pumps, sometimes it doesn't. If I turn them on/off several times, sometimes they work fine. But rarely. I will rip them out and toss then in the garbage. They are junk. Save your money and buy something else.-------------------------------------------I got these 2 for my 55 gallon aquarium. They produce a very nice flow, just right to move the water around in my tank and distribute the CO2 efficiently. But not too strong to stress the fish.I use them with a smart power strip and I run them in cycles of 10 minutes, several times a day.The suction cup is very good. Overall they are pretty small. I was afraid they would be bulky, but they are nice and blend in just right in the aquarium. The only complaint I have, is that the power head sometimes becomes loose from the pin that attaches it to the suction cup. But I press it right in and then it's back to normal.
