Color of wing
Bought as a gift for wife. High quality craftsmanship. The only thing that did not match expectation was the color of the wing. The picture of the item led me to think that the wing inside would be glossy and brighter orange. It’s a muted brown. I understand that it is a naturally harvested wing so the color is what it is. But the advertised picture should not lead buyer to expect a bright orange wing.

Beautiful piece
I ordered this Christmas of 2019 for someone that cherishes butterflies. I waited to write the review in case the piece didn't hold up. It has, and still looks beautiful on her. This is a talent and because butterflies are not just harvested to make the jewelry is nice so you can wear it without guilt.

Beautiful
I bought this as a Mothers Day gift for my mom a couple years ago and it's just as beautiful now as the day it arrived. My mom has an abundance of jewelry but this necklace is her absolute favorite. It looks exactly like described and is possibly the most beautiful piece of jewelry I've ever seen.

Mixed Feelings About This Piece
Excellent craftsmanship and quality. I own other pieces from this artist and am well pleased. The butterfly wing pendant is unfortunately more of a disappointment because as a few other reviewers mentioned, the wings are not a vibrant color like the photo but more on the duller brown side.

It's not orange
While it is a very neat piece and original idea, it shouldn't be pictured as orange. I read the reviews and most people said theirs was brown, mine also arrived and is brown. I understand each piece is unique and coloring may vary but pictured is a beautiful bright orange wing, and that just doesn't seem to be what anyone is receiving. I do like that idea of what it is and how it's made, I ordered it for my mom who is obsessed with monarch butterflies, I do regret spending $70 on it to be honest.
