I tried several and this one worked out the best. Its not too hot.

An utter disappointment. The bamboo blanket is cool ONLY to the touch. Once in contact with the skin, it warms up to body temperature. I find that the weight feels really helpful in improving deeper w/less tossing, but only in conjunction with an extra cold room. What's surprising is that generally, I'm not a hot sleeper. I usually have to bundle my feet and lower legs in extra fleece, but I was (and am) trying to train myself to sleep in a 65F and thought this blanket would help me with that. But nope! Rather, I wake up sweating.Unfortunately, I was out of town when I purchased this, that by the time I got around to opening the package and setting it up to use, and realizing it was a bad buy, I missed the return deadline by 24 HOURS!. So there goes almost 100 bucks. Sigh

It is as described. I thought I would try something new. It turns out that weighted blanket/quilt just isn't for me. I couldn't even get through one night. It is good quality and softness.

As a night shift worker with a Roomate who works from home my sleep is super important. I’ve got earplugs, sun blocking curtains, and recently got gifted this weighted blanket. All I have to say is wow, this thing puts me to sleep almost immediately and I have trouble staying asleep or not waking up randomly. This blanket keeps me out until my alarm clock rudely wakes me up. Overall highly recommend, only wish they sold a queen size version as it looks a bit awkward being slightly too small on my bed.

LOVE this weighted blanket!!! Have suffered for 20 years with insomnia and am unable to take pills or supplements as my body is too sensitive. From the first night I could feel a difference in my energy; usually I am in a "sympathetic mode" which is our fight/flight reaction. With this weighted blanket I could feel my body relaxing and moving into "parasympathetic mode." The Parasympathetic nervous system functions to control the homeostasis of the body. I am sleeping deeply, not getting up as much at night and therefore not indulging myself in night eating! Our two dogs age 13 and 2 also LOVE this blanket and burrow underneath it for better sleep. I am telling everyone I know about this! All I need now is a cover/duvet to protect it. If you are considering buying this, don't hesitate.

I originally thought this was more of a gimmick but after two weeks, I am still in love.I throw a pillow under my knees and the blanket on top and I am OUT! The extra weight feels like having your fat cat sleep on your stomach, it's comforting and it's warm. I went with the 25lbs option and I am happy with that. The color options are limited but you can easily get a duvet cover.Not much more to say other than I feel like royalty with this blanket and it's what I pretty much use now.

It gets some while getting used to but so far the material holds up really well and it's comfortable. Wish it was a bit bigger . Barely fits a queen.

Although this is advertised as a way to improve sleep, I find the blanket is particularly useful for hunting wildlife. Even animals as big as a large dog can be subdued by the sheer weight of this landing on them.
