Well written account of the authors adventures looking for reptiles and amphibians across the state of Texas. The authors break down the state by ecosystem and discuss what animals are found there and while not written as a guide to herping, it does provide enough detail that the reader can pick up tips for each specific type of habitat if you are looking to step up your skills in finding some new animals. Definitely worth a thorough read and keeping on the shelf for a quick reference if you are planning to spend some time outdoors in the great state of Texas.

I got it as a gift for my significant other who is really into snakes and reptiles. He loved it. Super interesting and informative.

Text, pictures, ... everything is perfect excepted for the packaging, the for corners of the book are broken :-(
