Horsemen's PrideHorse Tack Trunk with Interior Accessory Tray, Green

This is an awesome tack truck. It's large; it holds a lot more than the fancy monogrammed ones at the barn, and is half the price. It's sturdy, waterproof, and can even hold my English all-purpose saddle. I'm very pleased with it. A simple padlock works perfectly.Some people noted that the grooming tray wasn't what they expected. Please note, it's a flat tray (without a handle). I find it useful for my little items that always go missing in a trunk (like hair bands, sweat scrapers, extra lead ropes), but it's not a grooming caddy.

This is a great tack box for my barn. Serves its purpose nicely. I just wish it had wheels on it, then I'd love it even more. I really like having the raised tote inside the box for keeping all the smaller items organized. The only downside is that one of my horses put her nose inside looking for treats and very easily pushed that tote inside the box, spilling all those items. It could use a little more of a lip for "grabbing" the sides and staying in place.Overall, I like it & I plan to buy a couple more.

A lot of people go over to Home Depot and get the rolling tool trunks they sell which are 1/3 of the price. However the kept falling on my head and with metal clips it really hurt! We ordered this one and were surprised to find that because of the FLAT bottom, you can store a lot more stuff in here, and it doesn't fall and tip over like it did in the HUSKY trunk. So aside from looking a little nicer there is actually a reason to get this one. One caveat- the wheel package actually has to be installed and the trunk does NOT come with pre-drilled holes.

There's a plastic bin inside, but not the tray that fits into the slot. Not sure why. My friend has the same trunk, and hers has a nice tote with a handle that fits right in to the trunk in the slot provided. Not present in this one.

Very roomy tack trunk. Lightweight and easy to move. The interior tray does not have a handle as others have commented on but it is a good size & easy to lift out. Good price and free shipping on Amazon Prime!

It melted. We have several things that are plastic or plastic coated in our tack room that is by the baseboard heater. Nothing have ever melted according to the barn owner in 10 years of being built.

This item says Tack Trunk "w/ Tote Tray". The item I received did not have a Tote Tray. It has what looks like a cheap dish tub like the one I use for washing dishes when I go camping. The description says it includes a tote tray, the photo shows a formed plastic tote tray with a wooden handle that fits snugly into the box and the box has a pre-formed space in the top for the tote tray. But that is NOT what I received. I received a dish tub in the place of the tote tray. A dish tub that is not suited for my uses. I need a readily portable tote tray to keep a curry comb, a brush or two, a scraper and several other items that I need to take to the wash rack when I go to clean up after riding or prior to showing. A tote tray with a handle allows me to hold the tote tray in one hand and the lead rope in the other hand. A dish tub has to be carried with two hands. I give this item a single star, and would give it less if I could, because I now have to go through the hassle of sending this hefty, bulky item back, and I also have to place an order through another vendor. I called the Manufacturer on 12/07/2010, and they said the tote was changed to Tub and this change was provided to seller who never changed the web photos or the description. SHAME ON AMAZON for not taking the time to change the description when the product changed.

This tack trunk could be great. It's inexpensive, just the right size, and very functional. Mine, however, arrived broken. The plastic on the locking mechanism had snapped clean off, so that part doesn't seem to be terribly well designed. Thankfully Amazon quickly had another one on its way to me with no trouble at all. And otherwise the trunk serves its purpose well.
