Very yummy!
The organic lingonberries are tart and sweet. Excellent on pancakes and waffles. I even mixed a teaspoon in my cottage cheese. You can mix it with cream cheese or butter, too. My jar didn’t last very long.😀

NOTHING AGAINST CRANBERRIES, BUT...
We've gotten into the habit of substituting lingonberries for cranberries at Thanksgiving. I used to buy jars at World Market, but this year thought I would experiment. So happy I did! The berries in this recipe are small, in the way wild blueberries are small. They are packed with flavor and not as sweet as our previous purchases. As a native New Englander who grew up with, and eventually learned to make, fresh cranberry sauce, I can easily say the commercial stuff is way too sweet. IMO, there should be a nice sweetness but also a pleasant tartness. Al Johnson's lingonberry recipe fills that bill. This is my husband's all-time favorite. Yes, there IS a diff between wild, organic, and Swedish! I cannot think of anyone who would not like this as an accompaniment to any fowl or even pork. Imagine it with pancakes, crepes, or Swedish pancakes, too! Even the sweet potatoes (simply baked) loved them! Heartily recommend. It makes a lovely hostess gift, too!

Almost like the lingonberries I remember from my grandmother's cooking
I grew up eating Swedish pancakes and lingonberries cooked by my grandmother, and I hadn't been able to find them for many years. We have purchased a couple different brands through Amazon. This one was not our favorite, but they still taste like lingonberries, and they go well with the Swedish pancakes as well as with crackers and cheese. They go really well with soft white cheeses like Brie, and our friends have given a lot of compliments on having them on a cheese tray.

Packed full of deliciously tart lingonberries
I love this jam! After a long search I have finally found a deliciously tart lingonberry jam. Johnson's jam is so packed full of berries that you could eat it with a fork. It's thick consistency and delicate flavor make it perfect for use on sandwiches, pancakes or straight out of the jar. It's so fantastic to be able to taste the little ligonberries, instead of a mouthful of sugar, like most overly sweetened jams made today. I wish they offered multiple jars for a lower price because I'm going to finish this jar in a few days. Love it!

Great taste, no waste.
I loved this jam so much I had purchased four jars when they went on sale. The flavor is perfect, not too sweet, not too tart. It's also perfect for spreading on bread, toasted bread, muffins, even salads.I've tried a few different brands but this is my favorite hands down. They came so fast I am able to include a photo now.
