JTSCX-500F Miniature Condenser Woodwind Instrument Microphone

I have been using this microphone on my flute now for over a month. My sound man who is very experience commented on the very good sound quality of the microphone so that says volumes about the sound production from this microphone. It is very easy to assemble, attached to the flute and disassemble. The one area where I think some improvement can be made is in the cable from the mic to the plug. That cable is VERY thin and it doesn't appear like it would take much force at all to damage or break it henceforth I'm very careful handling it. If something could be done to reinforce that cable I'd be a lot more comfortable giving the product five starts. That said I'm very pleased with the functionality of this microphone and would recommended it to anyone needing a microphone for use with a flute (other instruments if there is a holder that can be adapted to other wind instruments).

I'm still working out the kinks, seems to me that it could have been a little longer, for a more straight on approach, as opposed to the slight angel I have it at now. Aim it more towards one's nostrils, otherwise too much wind gets picked up. It will take phantom power form the mixing board, so you don't have to buy the mic power supply, if there is no phantom power, then you do need to buy a power supply for an xlr cable.Update:Having feedback issues with the monitor directly in front of me. I have to have the monitor turned off to fix this at the moment. Still looking for more solutions. I've worked out the length issues, there are enough adjustable thing to make that work fine. Mic doesn't always stay put between playing and putting the flute on the stand and playing again, but re-adjusting isn't too difficult.

After using this mic in a few performances, I ordered a second one. Thus I can have 2 flutes set up ready to go. I really like it! the mounting system works extremely well. it's not necessary to tighten it very much before it grips securely. It is big enough to fit on an Alto Flute without modification. The signal is powerful, I had to engage the attenuator on the adaptor. Sound is very clean and realistic. It is very light weight - I didn't notice any difference in the weight of the flute, with this attached. This mic does require phantom power. If you are not going to have phantom power available from the board or amp, you can just get a phantom power supply - there are many for sale on Amazon, I got a ART Phantom II Pro. It runs on batteries or A/C adaptor, and one can run 2 mics through it.There are also other mics like this available, but what makes this one stand out is the mounting ring.

We bought this to use to mike a flute with Smart Music. It works so much better than using an iPad with the built-in mike. You will have to buy a separate cord to link it to a PC (we found this out the hard way), but they are readily available through Amazon. My daughter records playing tests for her high school band class with this, with great success. It will also come in handy for recorded auditions for things like All State. For recordings like this, a good microphone is a must. We are very pleased!

Used it with no issue. The cable is very very fine so you will likely need to be very gentle with it but the xlr end is not too heavy so as long as you are careful things will be ok... Sound seems quite decent and quite resistant to feedback. Good for the money. Love the adjustable neck and the clamp works very well..

It's a great idea for a mic, but the pickup pattern is just to wide. The result is a mic that feeds back rather easily if you are in a live situation. If you aren't using it in a live situation, it sounds great though.

Really helps bringing out the tones of our native american flute when we perform in amplified settings!

Got it as promised, and used it on a gig that week. No longer do I have to concentrate on standing in front of the mic and miss being heard. I was able to express myself and not one note was missed. Beautifully captured all of the tones of the flute, easy to assemble and does not get in the way. Only one down fall, its not wireless.

I purchased this mic and it never worked. I sent it back for repair and it came back but never worked. Please do not buy, you will regret. Try going high street shop to buy one you can test right away.

Mikrofon ist super und erfüllt absolut seinen Zweck. Absolut unflexibel ist die Halterung. Wenn man nur eine Flöte hat, die man verstärken möchte ist das Ding OK. Wenn man während eines Auftrittes variieren muss, da man verschiedene Flöten mit unterschiedlichen Größen einsetzt, ist der Halter Quatsch. Hier wäre eine Erweiterung des Zubehörs dringend erforderlich ! Das Einzige was momentan hilft, ist selbst etwas zu basteln.

ここのお店が、私が探した中でフルート用マイクが一番安かったです。モノ自体は軽くて、心配したハウリングも起きず、満足しています。ただ、マイク素人の身としては、ミキサーにつなぐにはファンタム電源を別に手配する必要があると書いておいて欲しかったです。後で買い足しました。キャノンケーブルは幸い、備え付けのものがあったので手配する必要がありませんでしたが、これも書いておいていただけますと親切だと思います。
