I bought three items from this seller and I expected them all to be made from molds, but they’re white plastic with one layer of paint on them. This won’t hold up for more than a couple weeks especially on the buttons and around the joysticks. If they’re going to sell painted products they should mention that in the description of the item...

The parts are a great color and look great but have started to peel a weird coating which is giving off a very toxic smell. I'm not sure what it is but it doesn't seem safe.

eXtremeRate offers multiple pieces to go with the pro controller consisting of the grip, main shell, and the buttons and I ended up getting the whole thing.Installation as a whole is relatively easy, especially for the grips which only take about 5 minutes to do. For each side you need to unscrew a single piece, slip it off, and then screw on the new one.It looks just like the picture that Amazon lists and the screw set provided by the kit is good enough for anything you would need to do for this.In short its easy, looks good, and they supply you with everything you need. Just take a little time out of your day and it will come out great.

If you want to give your pro controller a bit of pop, just do it! This is the EASIEST part to change out, a single screw and the 'cap' falls right off. Add in this company gives you the tools you need, and extra screws just in case, how can you go wrong? This is great if you want to add that color but don't want to void warranty, or worry about opening up the controller. For those that want to go the whole way (like I did) it pairs great with their other kits, so you really have nothing to lose.I would wish to add one thing, about the style I got (I am not sure if its true for all styles). I have the chameleon grips, and as such the 'feel' is different then the normal controller. The materials used give it a very very smooth almost slippery feeling. This isn't something I mind as I have had 'metallic' style controllers in the past, but it might be something of note for those that don't like the smooth feeling.

Saw these when I was purchasing the NES shell for the Switch Pro Controller and had to try them out. I'm very happy I did because they are awesome and add a nice trip to the controller, plus I think they match well with the NES Shell. Installation is exceptionally simple, just one screw on each handle, and they even include a mini screwdriver and extra screws if you don't have one. The fit is perfect with no raised edges or gaps, which is especially important as it's really easy to feel any misalignment, which totally ruins it for me. The raised texture is also incredibly durable, it's not going to rub or peel off at all. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, as I always am with ExtremeRate's products, and highly recommend to anyone interested.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I got my son a new pro controller and decided I would try and refurbish his old ones. The stock grips were rubbed pretty smooth and were slick from his time playing. I got these to replace them and to differentiate my controller from his. Really easy installation with just one screw on each side. Use a lot of pressure so you don’t slip and possibly strip screw. Old slides off, new slides on. They have a very close OEM fit with just a slight lip on the back but it’s not noticeable unless you’re looking for it. Smooth plastic with a satin soft feel. Very nice with added flair of color.My son had take claim to the grips and after a failed refurb, I ordered a second pair to go on another new pro controller. These are great for look and feel.

Love these customizations to the pro controller. And I love that they are not the same slick plastic as the original; my fingers always slipped off of those. It's got a very light layer of what feels like maybe silicone. Feels just perfect to me. Love the colors too. I feel like its MY controller now.As for installing, it's basically screwing and unscrewing a bunch of tiny screws. If you watch the video on YouTube (just search extremerate buttons), it is pretty simple, just takes a little patience. Also when taking apart an older controller, it's a really nice time to clean it. I changed a few on my husband's older controller and around the buttons and seams inside was nasty. A little alcohol or water on a Qtip and it's like a new controller!I would definitely recommend the replacement buttons, joysticks, and handle grips.

I love the feel of these grips. They are not slippery like the originals that come with the pro controller. They have some downsides too though. First and probably more noticeable, the grips are white so they are really easy to stain or get dirty, but this is just natural since they are white. The other downside is that if you try to combine this with another shell from the same brand, for some reason the grips don't really match the shell. And by this, I mean that the grips don't do a smooth transition with the shell. It is like the grips where bigger then the shell and you feel the little bump when sliding your finger or just by holding it on your hands, which honestly triggers me a little bit but oh well.

I purchased the mint green Matt grips around the end of April/may I believe.. they were great for a few weeks then they started to discolour.. i don’t keep my controller in view of a window so I’m pretty sure it’s not sun damage.. and Covid etc my hands and home are cleaner than ever so it’s not from me! Literally no idea why it’s discoloured but it looks horrible now.. I would definitely not buy one of the Matt ones again. Stick to something shiny that hopefully should t discolour.

The actual grips are lovely and feel great- super velvety silky smooth to the touch. This should have been an easy installation, however the screwdriver that comes with the set is awful and combined with the not greatest screws from Nintendo, it meant that one of them stripped really badly to the point where I could not take it out. My partner had to go through the original grip with a small hand-saw to expose the screw and so could remove it with pliers. Was a bit nerve-wracking tbh. That being said, if you do use a good screwdriver, the screws will still strip a bit (again, the original ones are not great) but not enough to cause such damage- in and out. Everything else is fine :)

I purchased this to customize a controller for my daughter’s birthday as I couldn’t find a retail controller in purple, which is her favorite color. I bought this to try it out with a plain black controller as I thought the two colors would contrast nicely with each other.The handle replacement came with the tool I needed to install it, which was really convenient. It was really easy and super quick to install, and blended seamlessly with the original controller to make a sleek, cool-looking, unique controller accented in my daughter’s favorite color. The best part was that she really loved it and uses it to play all her favorite games. This was definitely worth the price and effort to install it!

Has a luxurious look and feel, extremely simple to install. Even though it comes with a screwdriver I still think the price is a bit high though.

Great product! Would've been easy to install but the stock screws on the pro controller are not the best. Other than that, I love it!
