Gardein Sliced Italian Plant-Based Saus'ge, Vegan, 9 Oz

This is one of the better fake meat products I've tried, for certain. If someone gave some to me without telling me it was fake meat, and asked what I was eating, my guess would definitely be "some kind of sausage". I wouldn't say they're amazing; when cooked, I'd say they're around the mark of what I'd consider low-mid quality Italian sausage. Considering they're vegan though, it's straight-up amazing how close they've gotten with the texture, taste, etc. Not 100%, but damned close.The only real issue now is the same issue with basically all fake meat products; the price comparison. At $5-$6 for a 9 0z bag, that's very steep. You can get two 14 0z kielbasas from Aldi for less than that, or like 2-3 pounds of tofu. If Gardein could somehow drop the price drastically, make it like $1.99 a bag without dropping the quality, then these would be an instant staple. I'd be ordering them every week and stocking my freezer with them.

We pop these little slices in our air fryer and absolutely cannot tell that they are not made of meat. They’ve become a staple in our house for a quick dinner. We add some quinoa and spinach and it’s a perfect meal. I only wish they were actually spicy, they’re very mild.

I am giving 5 stars because for a vegan product, these sausage slices are pretty decent! Once cooked up, tge texture is pretty believable and tge seasoning is very good.

Good for adding to recipes. I’ve definitely had better but these are passable.

This stuff is so good! It is very hard to catch it in stock. I can see why. It's the best vegan/vegetarian Italian sausage I've ever tasted. 👌👌🏽

It’s close- but not super knockoff sausage ;). I use it in penne pasta with sauce and some Parmesan for a really quick 15 minutes max dinner- (see my review for pillsbury breadsticks turned into garlic knots)

I really like this but it's never available. Whenever I find a good-tasting vegan item I like to buy plenty. I had no problem getting it the first times I ordered but they have been unavailable the last 3 times.It's good no matter how I cook it;in the microwave, on the stove or in an air fryer. I would buy 1-2 packages every time I order if they were available
