Coreysa Capicua Olive Orujo Oil – 5000 ml

I purchased this recently in Lock-down when all the supermarket cooking variety is stocked out. Though I was sceptical at first ,because of the big bottle but now I am very happy with it and will not go back to the old one . This is an excellent choice for cooking but definitely not for salads and drizzles,since its not extra virgin. It has a very mild aroma and soft flavour while good resistance to high temperatures, I have used it to make pasta sauce as well as stir fry. It is a mix of extra virgin olive oil and pomace oil, ie refined olive oil, thus eventually a 100% olive oil . This Spanish variety is of very good quality and I hope it is available on Amazon in future at similar price point.

Not the best orujo oil, bought to use instead of sunflower oil for longer frying times such chips etc. Will not use this oil to eat with bread as other reviews, in my opinion this oil is only useful for fry ups as it can keep clean longer. I will not eat a piece of bread with this oil 😂😂, get a good extra virgin olive oil to add to your salads or other cooking dishes :)

Firstly, be aware that this is not extra virgin olive oil, and is not suitable for salad dressing. It's produced from the waste left over after extracting extra virgin oil from olives, and as such is much milder in taste. However, it's better for frying as it has a higher boiling point than extra virgin oil, and still has a nicer taste than vegetable/sunflower oil. Once you know this, you'll realise why it's a lot cheaper than virgin olive oil. I find it great for cooking, and very good value as it's a large bottle which lasts for several weeks, unless you're doing lots of deep fat frying of course!

I am from Andalusia so I might judge olive oil by funny standards, I can say that it is great cooking oil if you cook almost everything with olive oil, however, this is not the stuff you want to dress salads with. Will most definitely buy again as it saves time going to the store and it's good value for money.

A little mild for salad dressing, but it's not EV is it, so that's OK, but this makes it really good for making mayonnaise adding a sheen to tomato and other sauces and "slow frying". I'll buy this again.

Product great, price was good, presentation, good, however the Amazon packing was horrendous, it look like everybody and his brother had tried too look inside. Not good.
