6 Pack Survival Kit Can Opener, Military, P-51 Model

These are just like what I used in the Army back in the early 80's. If you don't have a can opener, and that's your only food source, these really come in handy. Only negative, I felt they were a little pricey, but could be a lifesaver, so I guess they're worth the investment.

Clasic tool that simply does what it is supposed to. Keyrings, zipper pulls, edc bags, glove box, survival kits, kitchen drawer. I give them as gifts or when making survival kits for friends.The electric can opener was broken so I just used an old manual one for nearly a year because I was to cheap to go buy another one. Ne night I had family coming over for a big dinner and on the first of six cans I needed to open my manual can opener broke too, I didn't know what I was going to do. I went and got this opener out of my back pack and literally opened all six cans in five minutes. I knew they have a reputation of being handy and simply doing what they were designed for, but I never expected it to be so efficient at doing it.Very handy and great tool. Vendor is great abd ships them out quickly. By multiple because you will want more than one. Try it when you get it, you too will be impressed!Also works well for scraping a fire steel.

These can openers are so handy. They are a little tricky to use at first but worth effort. I had one someone gave me a long time ago and used it when my home can opener broke. I still have not replaced the home one.I have given these away and lost them, so I buy them in multiples. I keep one in truck, first aid kit, Camping gear box, several in kitchen drawer. Make sure you get the “made in USA” GI ones by Shelby Co.

It's a bigger p38 can opener. It works well opening cans and it's good for cleaning fingernails. Buy a bunch and never worry about needing a can opener ever again.

What can you say about these except that they do EXACTLY what they were meant to do and they do it well.They're built like tanks, solid and sturdy. Everyone should have either one of these P-51s or a P-38 at the ready.You seldom find something that is as perfectly idiot-proof as these.

It's a little larger than the one that I had during and after my military service which I used for many years after. Larger, but still extremely functional.

I first used these several decades ago. They worked well for me then and they work well for me now. Not so much for my wife. The trick to using these is coordination, not strength. Almost every other type of can opener is exponentially bulkier than these. I purchased these to put in my camp cook set and my bug-out-bag. For that they are perfect. A camp-craft MacGyver could find dozens of uses for sharp, shiny little gadgets like these.

Nicely made. Purchased to add to our emergency equipment in our Jeep for when we are out in the woods and for an EDC item.
