IM CoronaOld Boy Black Matte Pipe Lighter

I've collected lighters for years and was always disappointed by "high end" brands like colibri and vector. Most of their lighters are rebranded garbage. They offer a lifetime warranty because you paid 10-20x what they did for it. This one is different. What initially sold me on it was finding a pic of the tank.. it's gorgeous, looks like something that came out of a war vehicle!I've had two of these now.. the first one I beat the hell out of and sent back right before the two year warranty was up. They just sent me a new one which I've taken much better care of but still use often. They styling is cool and it feels very weighty in hand. Fuel capacity is great, holding almost as much as a bic and I love that it can be used hands free. I've used it as a candle many times and it heats up very little, ever after having been lit for several minutes.This is a real deal heirloom quality lighter and I plan on picking up a few more in the future.

Just got the lighter, and I'm pleased with it so far! I'd give it a five, but it's just way too early to know if it deserves that. I'll update my review in a few months. :)

A great disapointment. It plugged using the best butane I could find very quickly

I can't really speak from experience, but my husband seems to love it! It's been about a year now since I got it from him and it is still holding up very well. He uses it daily and we've only had to refill the flint a couple times and the fuel twice as well. We use Vecor "Quintuple Refined Butane Gas Fuel Refill" with this lighter. There are a few scratches on it but nothing that wouldn't happen to any lighter of this type!

Great quality heavy lighter. My husband has been using it for the past few months and it is still in great shape and works amazing. I would recommend this lighter to anyone looking for a quality lighter that will last.

This review probably won't help anybody. Those of you who are familiar with this lighter, though it has passed through many manufacturers over the years, already know it by reputation. Those who don't should do a search for a much better review than I am up for writing. The old boy is a hard lighter to kill. It's a perfect lighter for a 180 or 90 degree flame. Folks who can hold onto their lighters have had one of these for years, decades.

Great, but scratch proof it is not.

The ONLY thing I do not like about the Old Boy is they should make a version without the pipe tamper built in to the body and make the fuel tank larger.
