Love these linesmans
I had the Klein linesmans but they were harder to cut me and didn't grip wires or anything else for that fact worth a crap. I saw the Knipex linesmans and they were a little more expensive but not much and I'm so happy I got them these knipex linesmans are very well built and they grip anything firmly and they cut mc with ease. I am changing all my hand tools for work (electrician) to knipex tools. They are far superior to Klein. I'll be a life long knipex customer.

Fantastic tool for the trade
2nd year Sparky here, IBEW. Had been using a pair of old hand me down cutters since the start of my apprenticeship. Picked these up after wrist pain from lots of MC cutting and wire twisting. These are incredible! The amount of force required for cutting straight through MC reduces so much strain. 12/2 cuts like butter. The serrated tip grips conductor in place reducing the amount of twisting force needed. They're big but light, especially compared to the kleins that are similar in size. I'll be sticking with Knipex

Great hammer 🔨
Best hammer i have ever purchased. Comes broken in, lighter than kliens, twists wire together nicely (use less pressure because they do grip very well) very sharp, but for some reason it doesn't cut jet-line as well as my 6 year old kliens ( usually takes 2 chomps instead of 1) only gripe is that they arnt American made... but German steel seems to be alot better. I'd buy these anyday for the break in period alone. Didn't have to oil them up, didn't have to put sand in it to work them in, didn't have to throw them on the ground every chance I got. Works as it should right out of the package unlike klein, ideal, and southwire. O.. and works well as a hammer also.

Pretty slick
As a 27 year electrician, i use them often every day. So far they're my favorite pair that I've owned. I switched from Klein. I like these better. The cutting power is perfect. They're so sharp and cut jet line with only 1 squeeze.

the best!
this is my third pair. not because they are poorly made, but because i sadly forget them in random drop ceilings or behind whatever im working on. but as soon as i accept that they are gone i am quick to replace them. they are durable and can withstand everyday abuse, have never dulled or worn out to the point of retirement, and they are comfortable to hold in my small hands. which also appreciates the high leverage, making cutting through thicker wires much easier. love knipex

Unbeatable Knipex and German design, finish, steel
You will hear most of the sales points in the advertising, all true.I replaced my Kleins with these. There is no break-in time. You will appreciate the big round hole for cutting, and the pivot point shifted closer to cutting area for more leverage. I want leverage with the standard lineman side cutters, so I prefer these 9-1/2" and not having extra features shift pivot point or subtract from stripping--if you have a crimping area in beyond the cutting area then the cutting area does not double as (old-fashioned) stripping area.I stripped the handle insulation off for better handling, as many tradesmen prefer. Knipex handles are a finished product underneath the insulation. Some of the Chinese pliers are not finished under the insulation, and even not steel for their full apparent lengh underneath their insulation. Knipex knows what satisfies old school and new school, not literally cutting corners like some competitors.I am going to make a video of stripping wire with these, and then the specialized strippers. Also forming a J for screw terminals with a corner of these, versus with a needle nose plier. With 10 12 14 gauge wire, it's hard to beat simplicity. Not bringing out a second tool, not having to look for the correct hole, one tool does it all, why not?
