There is no reliable independent evidence that this product will be beneficial to your liver
For reasons I will not bore the world with, I am very concerned about my liver, although I should at least mention that I have not been clinically diagnosed with any liver malfunction or disease. But I was eager to try the Biomatrix Support Liver food supplement because it's only natural to want something to work and make you feel healthier. Now that I have carried out some research from highly credible sources including leading hepatologists, I think I am now in a better position of knowledge and I'm afraid it's not good news for liver-lovers.The simple conclusion I have come to, in case you want a quick summary, is that the best thing you can do for your liver is - surprise! - make sure to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly. Yes, I know that will sound boring but I have discovered that, as far as your liver is concerned, a healthy lifestyle will beat a liver-supporting supplement like this. And let's remind ourselves: This is very expensive too!Your liver performs multiple vital functions. It's your body’s first filtration system, cleansing your blood, converting toxins into waste products and metabolizing nutrients and medications to provide the body with some of its most important proteins. So the liver is a fundamental part of the body’s overall regulation, and it is essential for you to keep it healthy and to protect yourself from overindulgence.Manufacturers of products such as this persuade you to believe that they will cleanse and detox your liver. This could be in relation to excess food or alcohol, the maintainance of good liver function, or even to repair a liver that has been damaged in the past.Liver health myths have exploded in tandem with the growth of social media, such that a huge number of claims as to the benefits of liver-detox products have emanated from totally unreliable sources. Often, of course, the claims are very deliberately made by the manufacturers of such products because they know that if you throw enough mud at the wall, some of it is bound to stick. Social media is the perfect breeding-ground for misleading, inaccurate and in many cases totally untrue claims.Biomatrix covers its tracks well, if you read its self-penned description. Words such as 'support', 'help' and 'enhance' sound comforting at first glance but they are carefully chosen words that would be difficult to challenge with any real scrutiny. And when it comes to defined benefits, this is how the company articulates the summary:- May support healthy liver function May aid Phase I & Phase II detoxification May help support and maintain glutathione levels May help reduce fatigue and malaise May improve energy levels May help protect against free-radical damage May help protect the liver against toxic overload May reduce liver health-related discomfortsYou probably noticed that every benefit is preceded by the word MAY. Which means, let's face it, that we could apply the words MAY NOT instead. It's all very clever in the marketing sense. Would-be buyers intuitively look for the positive buying signals, and, quite often, any true objectivity goes out the window. While liver cleanses are packaged to claim that they’re a cure-all for daily liver health and overindulgence, hepatologists do not recommend them. Unfortunately, these products are not regulated by the FDA (in the USA), and thus are not uniform and have not been adequately tested in clinical trials..While some common ingredients in liver cleanses have been shown to have positive results — milk thistle has been shown to decrease liver inflammation, and turmeric extract has been shown to protect against liver injury — there have not been adequate clinical trial data in humans to recommend the routine use of these natural compounds for prevention. I should add that Biomatrix Support Liver does not contain milk thistle, and does not contain turmeric acid - or at least, there is no mention of either on the container or here on the product description page. Some liver detoxification products are also sold as weight loss cleanses. However, this Biomatrix product makes no such claim at all, in fairness, probably because there are no clinical data to support the efficacy of these cleanses. In fact, some dietary supplements can actually cause harm to the liver by leading to drug-induced injury and should thus be used with caution. As for overindulgence of alcohol or food, less is always best when it comes to liver health, and cleanses have not been proven to rid your body of damage from excess consumption. If you want to protect yourself from liver disease, do not drink alcohol in excess, avoid weight gain, maintain your body mass index (BMI) in the normal range of 18 to 25 by eating healthily, and exercise on a regular basis to decrease your risk of developing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. It’s important to go for screening, as chronic liver disease can be silent for years and go unrecognised. Please note that liver cleanses such as Biomatrix Support Liver have not been proven to treat existing liver damage. There is simply no evidence one way or the other, so you should treat such claims with scepticism. One established fact is that obesity significantly increases your risk of developing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.Ultimately, the best thing you can do to keep your liver healthy is to treat it well. Avoid frequent over-consumption of food and alcohol, maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen, and get screened if you have liver disease risk factors. As for Biomatrix Support Liver, it would be easier to say that I'm sitting on the fence adopting a maybe-it-works-maybe-it-doesn't approach, but having taken this as directed for nearly a month, and looked into the facts and figures, I can only conclude that it is little more than a placebo, a pill that might trick you into thinking it's doing you good but in reality it's not doing anything meaningful at all. There's even a possibility that it could do more harm than good, but to be fair that's another unproven allegation.

These help me.
I have been taking liver supplements since I had my gallbladder removed in Feb 2020. When I don’t take the supplements I have a lot of acids reflux and incredible stomach pain. I go from one bottle to another and I had finished one bottle of supplements for liver so I waited week before trying this bottle. Of course my symptoms came back, I started with the reflux and stomach pain, that’s the right time for me to take these ones. Within an hour my symptoms passed and I was fine again. I take these tablets twice a day, morning when I wake and night before I sleep. My bile production is controlled so like I do with the other liver supplements I test I used the tablets for 2 weeks without any return of those symptoms, I paused taking them and on day 2 of not taking them my symptoms returned so I continue to take the tablets and again the symptoms go away. I strongly believe these tablets help me. If they don’t help you then maybe you’re taking the wrong kind of tablets. The suggested dose is more than enough and I tick along nicely with 1 in the morning and 1 at night. Being a product tester I have many other liver supplements to try out still so I will move onto the next once this bottle finishes next week. I would buy these again and again, I highly recommend them, they get the thumbs up 👍 from me.
