Nice product
I am using this on a slot car diorama. It works well in many applications of scratch building and sort of resembles rough concrete when painted. Understand what you are getting. This is not high density foam. It seems similar to packing type foam. It is a bit more rough and less sturdy than high density foam. I use a low temperature hot glue gun to build with. Solvent glue would likely melt this stuff.

Sturdy
I use this material to form a box within a box for mailing home canned goods. I know, not at all art like, but its aturdy and allows the glass jars to shift and be protected. Easy to score and snap to the size desired! It looks professional as well when opening a package

Great Product Excellent Use for crafts and Dioramas
Product is very user friendly with little learning curve. Works well with proper tools and experience. Easily accepts craft paint with 1 coat and can be sanded, cut, and painted leaving the integrity of the detail. Excellent for many craft applications and use with diorama builds. Will definitely be getting all my foam from Silverlake!

Not what I expected
I thought this was more like Flora foam and not Styrofoam.

Easy to cut
I used this with another thickness of foam to make the form for an 18" dolls sofa. They stuck together well with spray adhesive, and they were easy to cut using a serrated bread knife. Mark your lines carefully before starting your cut, then stop frequently to make sure you are still "on line". There is quite a bit of loose foam and that will cling to most anything, but this is a common problem with styrofoam.

NOT XPS FOAM
I thought this was going to be XPS foam, or something I could craft with (miniature terrain). This is just normal compacted styrofoam, the same kind you get when buying large breakable items.
